Okay, but consider: Chloé and Alix being girlfriends.
This Valentine’s Day project’s theme is Proposals. Here is a picture of the day Pinkie Pie proposed to Sonata Dusk:
Pinkie and Sonata had been dating for a while when Pinkie decided she wanted to propose. They spent a weekend apart.
Pinkie went first to her family’s Rock Farm, to ask about the tradition of the Pairing Stone, which supposedly showed her Soulmate. She had already decided that even if the Stone said different, she’d still marry Sonata. After that, she made a trip to Sonata’s parents’ home, to do the traditional ‘ask her parents’ thing. Even if they disapproved, not that they did, she still would have married Sonata. After that, it was a quick trip up to the Crystal Empire to pick up the actual engagement jewelry(Tiaras, of course).
Sonata, on the other hoof, had a weekend from hell. Snooty tourists, retail problems, her past coming back to haunt her. She was still upset by the time Pinkie came home.
Pinkie’s original plan had been to wait until next weekend, and take Sonata on a recreation of their first date: a picnic and stargazing. But after hearing about her weekend, and seeing how upset she was, she decided to propose on the spot.
Of course, Sonata said yes.
Sonata Dusk meets Pinkie Pie. Romance blooms and relationships develop.

MLP Fusion time! Of course, for the first fusion I had to do a Sonapie fusion.
Pinkie and Sonata make Crescendo Vivo. She’s high energy, loud, and sweet as can be. She’s not good with being subtle, and has a few insecurities, but still is very good at cheering others up with catchy songs.
(Crescendo means ‘to increase in volume’, while Vivo means ‘lively’)

Those are totally lyrics from High School Musical 3, but to be fair I did have the song playing on repeat through most of drawing this. Also we took a vote on how cheesy this should be.
But I love love love Pinkie and Sonata, and since it’s Valentine’s Day, this was the perfect time to add more fanart to this rare ship!
This is mostly for ask-radiant-dusk, but I wanted to do a full picture, partly to celebrate America legalizing same-sex marriage. And because I’ve only met four people who ship this, and even less who ship it with Pony!Pinkie instead of Human!Pinkie. More info under the cut.
