the Thing Is you don’t end up being a marauder in the woods pledged to a rebel queen if your life is nice and stable and cushy. gooey’s face is half melted off. swifty (yeah, i’m feeling serious emotions about swifty, move along) is a self-described “fucked up little guy.” imagine you’re them, and you know saccharina, know her charisma and her kindness and her strength, know the hope and purpose that she brought to all of you, and then these nobles roll up, the royal family which let their subjects be mistreated by the Bulbian Church or Concord or whoever else in the name of keeping peace, and they disrespect YOUR queen, even as you watch her put herself in danger for them and theirs, even as YOU put yourself in danger for them and theirs. no thoughts head “the future will not hold this pain for you”

I’m team Saccharina through and through, and I’m not sorry about it. The only reason you guys don’t like her is because you literally can’t see her side of things because none of the other PCs will fucking talk to her about anything other than the fact that she’s going to become/is the new queen.

I’m not mad at the other characters, but damn this just feels so unfair. The cast really did say “We will have our characters run through your mind rent free” huh?
