It’s that time when the doors are locked and the INFJ sits in the comfortable space with no human being in sight (but animal companions are okay). The time when the INFJ brings out her journal and starts writing. The time when she puts on soft classical music through her phone and starts dancing. The time when she pulls out a sketchbook and doodles her favourite characters or any fantasies she had.

And if an INFJ tells you it’s time for her to be alone, please, from the bottom of my heart, leave her alone. Don’t ask any questions. Don’t stay in the room saying you won’t make a noise. Alone time is completely different from “stay quiet” and “don’t bother me”.

It’s more to “I need to take a rest from unconsciously picking up all the nonverbal cues around me and their emotions that I automatically considered in making a decision in that very situation where the individual is in the same room as I am so I could finally stay in touch with my /own/ thoughts, emotions and do things that I love in this mode.”

Because the fact is, no matter how hard INFj try to concentrate on HERSELF, the concentration just goes somewhere else, to everyone and everything around her. It’s like being a living radar that’s CONSTANTLY scanning everyone’s thoughts, emotions which helps her make a decision, even if it includes herself.

So in order to give this radar a rest, just stop appearing in it. If you do that, she won’t act on the detection. And therefore, she can rest. While she’s resting, she does all the things she loves, which I guarantee, will share any interesting discoveries with you (if you’re important enough).

I know sometimes it feels like this world wasn’t meant for you. Don’t forget you make it better.

Of course Soo joins them, she has a beauty business and people watch in complete confusion as the scary martial arts teacher melts when he sees his wife.
