Let’s give a Recurrent Neural Network 10 minutes of anime dialog and tell it to learn how it works. 

after forcing this neural network to listen to and learn this anime for 1000 iterations, the output is…pretty much just empty noise. that’s not too surprising really.

2000 iterations in to the training: the network has learned how to scream.

5000 iterations: it seems to have learned how to produce something resembling chatter or mumbling. 

6000: same as above, except it spent 23 seconds screaming. again.

10000: the screams more closely match human intonation, with descending pitch at the end and breaths in between each scream, etc 

15000: it seems fixated on short laughter (“ehe”) now.

25000: finally the output is starting to resemble human speech, though not with any real words

…but really what the fuck lmao

my new super official single “BLACK CLOUD” and accompanying music video are finally out. after all this time its all coming together. everyone involved worked really hard on this and i feel like this is the culmination of something big!!!! hopefully you feel the same way!!!!!!

YES YES YES I AM LOVING IT

wheezes I FINISHED IT… I present to you the two possible/concept opening songs for the three part online Madoka Musical. As I’ve stated, I can’t decide between a musical inspired by Yuki Kajiura’s soundtrack for the movie, or a completely original musical. Please listen to the songs and in the description of the video, I’ve included a link to a “final” poll. You can vote for which you preferred there.

The video is color coded so you can tell which girl (Madoka is the only one not present in the opening song, since this is her “dream”) sings what, otherwise Mami pretty much takes all the high soprano-y stuff and Kyouko sings all the low stuff, while Sayaka and Homura fall in the middle.

Like the landscape was all barren not because of a curse but because there’d been a nuclear apocalypse and subsequent plague, and Stanley went to prison camp not because he stole a pair of shoes but because he mercy-killed his own plague-riddled sister. And Pendanski sneaks the boys out to take them to a truckstop bar and buys them prostitutes. And it’s revealed at the end that the conspiracy of the camp is that they’re digging for, not buried treasure, but old nuclear warheads. And there’s a running theme about how “you can’t bury the past.”

I mean the scope and intensity of the changes made to make it more “adult” were pretty clever, but so unnecessary. The fairy tale-esque whimsy was so integral to the story and such a part of its charm that making it darker kind of defeated the entire purpose
