The 10th Anniversary of Hetalia
Hey guys, so in Japan right now it is officially July 6, 2016. Ten years ago, on July 6, 2006, Himaruya posted the first chapter (JP | EN) of the Hetalia webcomic on Kitayume.
That’s right! Hetalia has officially been around for TEN YEARS. Once you’ve pulled yourself off your fainting couch after the reality of the passage of time and your body’s rapid aging has sunk in completely, maybe check out the #10YrsOfHetalia Anniversary Event that’s going on all this month.
Also, as of this writing, the hashtag ヘタリア10周年 (Hetalia 10th Anniversary) is trending on twitter in Japan at #3 with over 21,000 tweets. How cool is that?
Congrats Himaruya-sensei on making it to ten years! Here’s to another ten more!

We are the Hetalia Fandom Hub, a new blog focused on creating support and unity in the fandom! Problems with the fandom have been highlighted recently, but that means we can change for the better, and the Fandom Hub wants to help with that!
This blog hopes to bring exposure to creators, blogs, and events in the fandom! To do that, we have a few different projects and ideas that we’re going to be trying out:

We’re going to create two huge lists of Hetalia blogs and creators of all kinds! If you want to know how to apply to one of these lists (it’s easy, we promise!) click here! They will act as a resource for people looking for blogs to follow, allowing them to easily get the content they want on their dash!

We want to give exposure to things going on in the fandom, such as events or even memes that people can get involved with. We’ll also give updates with what’s going on in Hetalia! Please help by keeping us informed of anything we miss!
Interviews, Showcase, and more!
We’ll start out with monthly interviews of people in the fandom, alongside bi-weekly ‘showcase’ posts highlighting a creator in the fandom! Please suggest people we can bring focus to - skill level and time as a fan doesn’t matter!
Eventually, we’d like to do more projects and even our own events, but we’ll start small and see how this blog goes for now!

I’ve mentioned before that there are HIDDEN MESSSAGES in Himaruya’s blog, and here’s another one for you.
This image is from Himaruya’s blog post around the time the chapter about THE BIRTH OF GERMANY was released. Now if you look at the file name of the image, it’s dokaroka.jpg
which can be translated into “is it do or is it ro?” And with do = doitsu = Germany and ro = shinro = shinsei roma = HRE, we get:
“Is he Germany or is he HRE?”

An update on Hetalia Musical

I’m currently working with two lovely ladies, @azarathmage and @randomfandomgirl, on the translation. The DVD is set to release on 25th May so we won’t have anything to sub with until then. We’ll livestream the subbed video when it’s done!

My dad's company held a multinational meeting and he described to me what he thought of each country's team that was there.
British: professional, calm, only asked for tea the entire duration of the meeting and were offended when they were told there wasn't any.
French: came dressed in very tight pants and stayed as far away from the British as possible. Only talked about biking.
Scottish: interrupted the British during all of their presentations and were the only ones louder than the Americans
Germans: rolled their eyes every time a Frenchman or a Brit spoke. Very efficient and thorough in their work.
Russians: secretive, hung out in a circle at the very back of the room
Italians: really good looking, very talkative, did not get any work done and left the meeting 2 hours early
Americans: came into the office on skateboards and donuts stuffed in their mouths. Argued with the British during all of the discussions before arguing with the Scottish about the British
He said it was the most interesting meeting he'd ever seen.
Some loser: “Please don’t watch the history of japan video AGAIN! You’ve watched it 83 times already!
