hi!! my name is mae and welcome to my art blog :P :D
i mostly post oc art - my beloved karmela and silvana, but other than that i just post whatever i make since i struggle to keep a consistent pace with my art
i've been drawing since i was in middle school, but due to various mental health issues i had a big pause. so this is my way of relearning art and trying to improve a skill i used to be satisfied with!
my approach to art is nowhere near taking it too seriously or professionally, so even though i try to implement as much theory as i possibly can, i mostly just draw whatever is on my mind at that moment and doing whatever feels the best for me ! so forgive my lack of anatomy or color theory knowledge, but i don't want to force myself to do anything i don't feel like ! and i realised that having this approach helped me improve fast while also having fun !
some general info about me:
-i'm 22 and a college student
-i love anime (current brainrot is gachiakuta), music, literature and anything related to the humanities !
-i'm currently researching balkan folk magic, esotericism and the occult so i'm trying to implement that in my art and my ocs stories !
-most of my art centers around queer life and finding purpose and meaning in a world as fucked up as ours. art is political and mine is political squared ;)
-i'm always open to advice and questions as well as art trades and i take requests !
-i love love LOVE hearing about people's ocs, especially if they're set in a similiar world to the one i'm working on! so if your ocs are wlw, queer, gothic, historical, political, alternative etc etc my inbox is always open to your stories !
-i'm always looking for people to draw my ocs so if you have the will it would make me the happiest ever !
