Pinterest mainly! I have a massive backlog of clothing, poses, etc in Pinterest folders from throughout the years! Searching for em and stocking up on photo refs is kinda like a hobby for me! Given the current climate of Pinterest rn tho, I DO however try to make sure none of the photos I pick have any kind of ‘AI enhancements/altering/or are AI’ tho. Would recommend double checking yourself before using a phot ref, if you’re paranoid about that like I am that is. Thankfully the app tells you to an extent if they were. But yeah I use Pinterest!

AWWW THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY!! I’ve always thought my art process was kinda of weird? Cause you can see how indecisive I am when I draw, cause I literally entertain EVERY intrusive thought until something sticks. I play with photos and shapes when photobash like I’m trying on different shoes😭 Hearing someone finds it interesting makes me proud fr, cause I always thought the process made me look a tad bit insane LMAO

Try to find pieces of things you like in images! For me, it’s easier for me to incorporate images into a piece I’m already drawing rather than plan a piece around images. For example I’d be drawing a character for a photobasbing exercise, and want them to have sneakers. I’d search for images of sneakers I like, find one, BOOM. Done. It’s a lot easier to figure out ways for photo bashing to work for you if you treat the process of incorporating pieces of images you like, like finding accents rather than major parts of your drawing. Like the look of a crown? But also the mask of a helmet? Take the pieces and combine them! It’s like a puzzle!
