Why I Believe Politics Is About Responsibility, Not Power
Punjab is at an important moment.
Everywhere I go, people talk about the future. Young people talk about opportunities. Farmers talk about uncertainty. Families talk about safety, education, and the kind of Punjab they want their children to inherit.
These concerns are real, and they cannot be ignored.
Too often, political discussions become focused on personalities, positions, and daily headlines. But the issues that matter to people are much bigger than any individual politician.
These conversations continue to shape my views on Punjab's future, and I have explored many of these issues in greater detail through my articles and public engagements.
The real question is whether we are moving Punjab in the right direction.
Are we creating enough opportunities for our youth?
Are we making our communities safer?
Are we building an economy that allows people to succeed without feeling they have to leave home to find a future?
These are the questions that should guide public life.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving Punjab in different capacities. Each role has brought new responsibilities, but one lesson has remained constant: public trust is earned through work, not words.
People do not judge leaders by speeches alone.
They judge them by whether they stand with them during difficult times, whether they raise the issues that matter, and whether they remain accountable when challenges arise.
Punjab has enormous strengths. Our people are hardworking, resilient, and ambitious. We have overcome challenges before, and we will overcome them again. But progress requires focus, patience, and a commitment to the long term.
For me, that commitment begins with a simple belief:
Punjab must always come first.
Not as a slogan.
As a responsibility.
Because every decision we make today will shape the Punjab that future generations inherit tomorrow.
And that responsibility is greater than any position, any election, or any title.
Punjab First. Always.
