Hello everyone!!! I am @just-your-average-enigma (she/they), you can call me Jyae or Enigma! I am the one and only mod for this blog, and the sole creator of this AU.
I made this blog after being inspired by others like it, to tell my version of Rain World! I warn you, it differs quite a lot from canon. It also follows (one of) my OC iterator groups! And a couple slugcats that interact with them. More information below! Like lots of information, I talk a lot

Please specify which you are in your ask!!! If you don't, I'll still answer it, but it's overall very important that you do. Also feel free to use your OCs to interact! You can have lore as well and also become narratively important if you are up to that :3
Also feel free to send a drawing of your character in your ask if you would like, I might draw them interacting (depends on motivation).
Also if you want to send something (like a lizard or vulture) to attack my slugcat go ahead lol or your OC even
I kindly ask if you have slugcats that could be understood by anything but slugcats, scavengers that can be understood by anything but scavengers, or iterators that are not within a superstructure to not interact. It doesn't fit into the lore of my story, and I'm not willing to bend the rules for these specifically! I may add more to this list if needed but not likely.
I only respond to asks that I want to!!! I respond to most, but I am allowed to decline any if I don't want to answer them!!!!
Please don't try to break my lore, I am aware of a couple plot holes and not everything is entirely set in stone. Please don't try to break it or mess it up
If something is ooc I will write it like [this]! If the full post is ooc, I will tag it as such (in this post it's temporary messages or just extra info, since this whole post is ooc)

I respond to asks when I can! I have no schedule for updates but try to respond as fast as I can. I also try to draw every ask, but not with color
I will occasionally post comics! These will most always be lore related, and probably not common. How colored they are depends on my motivation at the time
I will likely make ooc lore posts about the regions, flora and fauna, nearby iterator groups / slugcat colonies / scavenger tolls, stuff with the rot and the mark of communication, and a lot more world building stuff! I will have an area to put this, I do not have one currently

Why is this drawing better quality than the last one? I do not know. It just happened. I drew it like an hour later and this is how it turned out. The next one is worse quality than the first, so I have no idea? I drew the next right after this one no break. She also just has less lore so idk

Stargazer's iterator name is One Thousand Shooting Stars!!
OTSS is one of the older group iterators
She technically could have been considered part of a different local group, but some stuff happened and she ended up becoming part of this one which still needs a name
Her structure is still up and running
Her original purpose was research about the stars above
She has a daughter structure (to be seen tmr), which is an uncommon relationship. The official status would most likely be sibling type (<-will make lore post, is in relation to how close the structures are and which factions of benefactors created them), however they have a mother-daughter bond and refer to each other as such
OTSS has a strictly professional relationship with her creators, and they are more like coworkers than anything
The Weapon's iterator name is Four Unbroken Swords
FUS is a gen 4 iterator who was made to protect the ancients that had been left behind by all the other ancients
At this point in time, most of the ancients in the area had escaped to living up on iterator structures. However none of them would let these two specific villages to join them, and so they had to build their own iterator
The areas around had been growing more dangerous with that rain, not because the rain itself but because of how it changed the creatures. It was NOT safe for the ancients to stay below on the ground
FUS worked as a guardian of sorts, in order to get the to the city you had to go directly through FUS's chamber; there was no way to climb up the sides and there were no little tunnels that would lead you there
It has been many many years since then, and FUS has long since collapsed
They have finally been allowed to stop working and relax. They can sit and just be, which was one of her biggest dreams back before
FUS, pre-collapse, had also made The Drifter. It made The Drifter as a helper slugcat to protect their people and their area. Eventually, however, FUS let The Drifter go. Basically said, "If you don't want to be here anymore, you don't have to." The Drifter then left as she did not want to stay
Lots of lore for this post because for some reason this one in particular I had a whole lot of ideas for so enjoy
BP is the last iterator to be slugcat-ified! Next up are the three slugcats iterator-ified
BP's slugcat name is The Gardener!
The Gardener is a slugcat that lives in a snowy-ish area, or at generally cold, hence the fur
The cold area is on the opposite side of the ocean from the desert area, however the ocean isn't that big and they is still opportunity for her to interact with the desert slugcats
Her facial markings are the same as her iterator form, but the rest was added so she wasn't just plain pink
The Gardener is very skilled in growing plants, as the name suggests
She lives near a small coloney and occasionally trades with them, despite not being from the coloney itself or a part of it in any way
The Gardener has no special powers, just very professional gardening skills learned from a nearby iterator (color hint doesn't work as well when they both have the same color... Whelp.)

SC's turn! The Cloud Builder is a slugcat that lives in the same region as their sibling, The Shooting Star
As his name says, he builds clouds. How? Uhhhhhh β¨ magicβ¨
The Cloud Builder is also a dreamwalker just like his sister!
Forehead markings are the same as their iterator form, however I didn't use the same check markings and instead put little clouds which also kinda look like blush
The Cloud Builder is a winged slugcat! He does have to use his wings to fly, however he can also just kinda walk on clouds
Uh powers aren't listed like the others cause I kind of just sprinkled them into the post uhhh

Anyways, SAtH's slugcat name is The Shooting Star!
The Shooting Star is a slugcat who essentially lives in the sky. She lives in a much taller region that is not yet named, but it would be similar to Sky Islands and Chimney Canopy.
They can fly without wings, and it looks similar to a mermaid swimming
She also loves with her brother! SC's post is tomorrow
The Shooting Star is also a dreamwalker, which y'all don't know what is yet but you will at some point in time
The Shooting Star's face markings are identical to her iterator face markings, however the rest of the markings were added so she wasn't just solid pink lol
Also all colors I use on their slugcat versions are color picked from their iterator versions
Also ignore the purple in the top corner I drew them all on one canvas lol you'll know who that is tomorrow
Anywayssss RFVO's slugcat name would be The Drifter
She is a water based slugcat who lives in the same ocean as The Drowned
They do not get along well and both inhabit other parts, trying to avoid each other.
Her powers would include
Swim Speed: she has an overall swim speed buff, making her much faster than other creatures in the water (she is also faster than The Drowned)
Bubble: create a bunch of small bubbles that can push herself or another creature to the surface of whatever body of water they are in. If underground with no air, it will pin the creature to the ceiling.
Also, her heart symbols are based on her own face markings!
She came from the same family group as The Drowned, but they had both left on their own accord. He has... Changed since she last saw him.
She has a strong rivalry with a slugcat that lives on the desert side of the ocean (The Timekeeper). They are constantly fighting
She is very confused about why The Timekeeper looks the way they do, she has never seen a slugcat as such. She does often insult them because of that

SAtH always cares for people, as seen in the incorrect quotes post, they are very kind to everyone they talk to. She also functions as the groups therapist, in a way, but always privately.
TWBA and TWB's abbreviations are very similar, this was on accident and I only noticed it recently (like over a year later from creating them)
TWBA may be constantly at war, and is usually pretty mean, but they do genuinely care about the well-being of everyone in the local group. Especially those who don't pick sides in their and RFVO's war. They understand there is nuance, and appreciate those who share that view.
TWB is totally misguided. He would never actually kill someone, and this is a joke, however his advice usually is a bit off. Things that to him are totally normal, may be a bit unethical or even cruel to others. He has a good heart, but he did not have good creators.
SC is also very kind, just like his sibling. He doesn't show it as much as they do, but he does care quite a lot about the group. People do come to him if they need to talk, and he always tries his best to help. The conversations are usually a lot longer than the person coming to him for help but want, however.
Yup, more content for these two. This is from the first time I redesigned them! They've been redesigned twice total now.
SAtH used to be purple, not pink! They also were apparently gen 4, she is now gen 6. Also had she/her pronouns, although I could've sworn they were she/they back then as well, apparently not.
SC had a much different outfit than he does now! He was also gen 5 instead of gen 6. He was also a much brighter yellow, and his facial markings were slightly different. I also forgot the write the abbreviation of his name on this paper.
You can also just see the art style change, mainly with the antenna and the hands. This was roughly a year before I made their newest designs, which were actually made about a year ago. So these were two years ago. I made a loooottt of art progress in 2 years haha.
The dots next to their faces is their group color, I had a lot of iterators drawn back then so I organized them into local groups.
This is a redraw of something I did when I made SAtH and SC for the first time!! That was over two years ago now, it was also done on paper
This was made to explain the differences between the siblings from in game, and my OCs!
I will write headcanons for LttM and FP, as they are canon in Journey, however they will not show up on this blog (other than daily doodles). The unnamed scug is not a character, they are just here for the sake of it
LttM is always kind to slugcats she meets, she has been kind to them and all creatures her whole life! Pre and post collapse.
SAtH is very excitable. She is always happy to see a creature in her chamber, however she's a bit much and often scares them. They only means good, however.
FP used to be annoyed with creatures, but not as mean. Then during the events between him and Moon, he becomes angrier and responds to creatures harshly. After his collapse, he learns to treat them with a bit more respect and kindness.
SC is extremely talkative. He acknowledges a creatures presence, and then starts to ramble about something random. Usually something new he learned, or whatever he's working on at the moment. The creatures are pretty much always confused.

SAtH is one of those people who will NOT leave animals alone. She will be very very annoying. She will pick them up, as she is doing so in this drawing. She also finds anything and everything cute.
Also, Stargazer's magic smoke tail thingy can open and close.
