So the dress really won't fit anybody but Yuan-jie...🥺🥺🥺
(n actuality Binghe had very carefully worded her agreement with Shen Jiu so that there's no way SJ would assume the final outfit would involve shibari, and of course there was no way SJ wouldn't drop out once she realized that Binghe was planning to tie her up, and now Binghe finally gets to fulfill her long-cherished fantasy of seeing her Yuan-jie in red! She loves it when a plan comes together!)

It's so hot and Binghe's single robe is so sheer, and honestly there's a limit to how much even an old man like Shen Qingqiu can take before he forgets his dignity and puts his hands all over his unfairly beautiful husband!

Hope Binghe's outfit is not too weird? I wanted it to look fresh, girlish, but also resemble his various shoulderpad outfits as demon emperor, so I used this outfit from "Empress of China" for inspo. Binghe would absolutely wear this ridiculous decollete!

This one is a Homestuck AU: Binghe is planning to overthrow the old Empress who has reigned for 1000s of years and become Empress himself, because he sees no other way to protect his beloved SY. Binghe is an aquatic species and SY is a nerd, so their dates mostly happen in pools. SY's hobby is defending Binghe online and here he's telling Binghe about how he took down a particularly egregious attack.
This is my take on @donnadonera 's Homestuck Bingqiu designs! Crossover details:
Binghe:
Raised to think he was a burgundy blood (lowest class), discovered he's actually secretly a fuchsia blood (highest class). He's a mutant, he looks burgundy on land but turns fuchsia when in water, probably because of like, oxygenation or something. He has the superpowers of both classes (burgundy telekinesis + fuchsia immense physical strength/durability) to parallel his "unscientific" dual cultivation systems in SVSSS, and that's how he wins a fight against an immensely old and powerful Empress. He has covered himself in jewelry in SY's color as soon as he gained access to funds!
He's a Peixes, Prince of Blood, Derse dreamer.
SY:
A jadeblood (social class tasked with taking care of children) who was secluded in the breeding caverns with the Internet being his only outlet for as long as he could, but finally left to meet Binghe after befriending him online. It's good that he's a rainbow drinker (vampire), cause he'd have died several times otherwise...
His current (self-assigned) job is Binghe's social media manager, which for him means defending Binghe's personality, mutant blood, right to rule etc online. Very passionately and angrily.
His symbol is "Virus", the sign of the adaptable. He's an Heir of Breath, Prospit dreamer.
And also, bonus: Binggeyuan. They're the Beforus version of these characters!
- Beforus SY grows up to be an adult and gains the title The Peerless Cucumber (HOW is that the perfect adult troll title???).
- Binghe is a hapless little grub (baby/toddler) who's being taken care of by the washerwoman, his lusus (animal with a child-rearing instinct) (maybe she's some kind of raccoon, because they also wash things?). But she's weak and sickly, and dies while he was still too little to survive on his own.
- That's when The Peerless Cucumber accidently stumbles upon this incredibly pitiful mutated little rustblood grub. At first he takes an interest because of the mutation - what a weird little creature! As a jadeblood with researcher tendencies, he thought he had catalogued all sorts of weird types of grubs, but this one's new! So he picks it up and starts to observe it, or at least that's what he tells himself, while in fact he very quickly starts treating this little grub as his baby and not as a research project.
- The grub grows up to become Bingmei. The Peerless Cucumber helps him discover his fuchsia blood (maybe it looks rust when he's on land but turns fuchsia when he's underwater, due to like, oxygenation or something?), and devises a strategy to survive being found out as a mutant, namely, to kill the empress and become empress instead.
- And Binghe's reign is comparatively merciful, for example, they outlaw killing mutant grubs. But fell apart when The Peerless Cucumber died? Which, I guess, even rainbow drinkers might die from old age?
- Do you think SY/The Peerless Cucumber is quadromantic? I think at least on Beforus, with the Freudian backstory, they'd definitely end up in some kind of "their love transcended the quadrants" situation. But even in the post-scratch session I think believing all of his relationships nust nearly fall into quadrants would be a good parallel to his comphet. More on SY's quadrant vacillation and comphet!
I just finished (re)reading Bingy's Self-Insertverse (fic rec link in case anyone else is reading this post, it's such a fun series!) and I loved it! And the image of SY in Bingge's "sexy teacher" dream sexily perching on the desk in a miniskirt haunts me so I want to draw it. Is this what you were thinking of or did I get any details wrong? Like should SY have a different haircut, or maybe a different kind of collared shirt, or a more sultry expression? You didn't mention stockings but I figured they're an essential part of the "teacher" look. Oh yeah and you describe the glasses Bingge gets him IRL later but I thought he'd still be wearing his thick black frames in the dream, right?

Bingqiu week prompt "bridenapping": Illustration for @kamikazeworld's AU: What if TLJ and ZZL didn't steal SQQ's soul from the plant body as LBH was assaulting him?
AU description: "I think he would never be able to go through with it. Fighting and forcing sqq isn't what he want. I think he'd just... Get worked up. Stop. Hunch over and hide his face in his chest, fists clutching at the fabric of sqq's robes, and he'd let out a hoarse "why...? Why can't you just love me...?" wondering why he ruins everything he touches... That he only wanted shizun to love him..... And he's shaking with the emotional agony he feels, the rejection and pent up grief. It's so obviously *real* nd despite everything he's done, what can sqq do but tentatively raise his hand to pet his head and hold him close until he's done crying? I think Shen Qingqiu would realize at that point that he really fucked up. Binghe fucked up too, but isn't it because Shen Qingqiu drove him to it?? Has he really hurt him so badly that he'd resort to all this...? It's not okay, what Binghe has done, but... God, he can't just leave him like that. He can't."

Bingqiu Week Day 6: Reunion. In a Steven Universe crossover AU, human/diamond LBH is finally freed from her fusion with the corrupted Xin Mo and reunited with pearl SQQ. Fusion design and image description under cut!

LBH, huge because she's a diamond, shaped like Rose Quartz and with hair as big as Rose Quartz. She has Steven Universe style star eyes because SQQ so often speaks of LBH's "star-filled eyes". Her gem is over her heart, like LBH's scar. It's shaped like a perfect polished teardrop/blood drop outside but inside it's a zuiyin-shaped cut that's all jagged edges and kinda looks broken, like shards. So we have tears, blood powers, zuiyin and broken glass heart.
SQQ is smaller than her, the size that yellow and blue pearls are compared to their diamonds. So Binghe has to lift her up in her hands so she can pat Binghe's head.
SQQ's design is: long soft flowy fabric draped over a pointy, angular, stick-like body, to kind of represent the way SQQ puts on the polite lofty immortal persona over a foul-mouthed gremlin personality, and also to fit the canon Pearl designs. Her gem is on her hand, the hand that always puts SQQ into trouble, and that she's now using to pat Binghe.
And here's my thoughts on their fusion: LBH's round eyes and SQQ's pointy eyes forming a nearly-perfect circle. I wanna draw their fusion holding the hand with SQQ's gem protectively over LBH's gem, I think they'd love doing that💖

I accidentally stumbled into a fun new coloring style that kinda looks like, hm, pastels maybe? Here's the "pastel" layer applied to the lineart on the "soft light" setting, and then the coloring goes over that on "Multiply":
Do you think Binghe's have are too big? I referenced my own hands but perspective will forever stump me. I'm hoping if they are too big at least it can pass as an adolescent"puppy with paws too big for his body" thing..?
