Another post for @sonic-au-august! (hehehaha posting a day late in my timezone again) Not my best art but I quickly drew this up because I wanted to basically use this one as a test for other mini comic that was supposed to be done by now but I've been too busy so I don't mind the drop in quality. Basically using this event to get myself to draw more backgrounds in my art.

That is probably the best I could draw the bottom panel without it being too much. I hope this is fine.

Basically, Tails is traumatised by what happened in the old base :( and he just wants to pretend things are fine so he doesn't (re)traumatise Sonic either by telling him. (They talk it out at some point though)

For every submission that I post that has written context in the fic that I've made for this AU (which you can get to by finding the AO3 link in my pinned post), I'll post a snippet or two below.
