“Damn. Life must not be too bad to keep those high standards.”

“I just think my boobs are worth those standards. Is that so bad?”

His chin rested lightly against her head. “Yeah just too bad there is no one here you know that you always have a guaranteed good time with.”

“Man, I’ve really gotten myself into a pickle,” she let out another sigh. “I guess I’ll just have to settle for you.” She allowed a small, amused smirk to slip past her lips, knowing he couldn’t see it from his position.

“Yeah, that definitely would’ve fixed this whole issue. I mean, the more booze, the more people willing to buy random shit, food and whatever. I guess some people just really love their escape rooms and mysteries.” 

“You know, I didn’t think about it that way, but it makes sense that the people that are into making these events love the whole puzzle thing. There always seems to be one.”

“Not all that one for games?” She asked with almost a cautious nature as she approached her.

“Not really in this context, no,” she rose a brow and looked over. “Why are you looking at me like that? I’m not going to bite.”

“And what exactly is your fee for that out of curiosity?”

“That depends entirely on who I have to flash. For instance, if it were a bartender, I’d need some top shelf liquor.”

“Oh, baby,” he moved behind her, arms going around. “Remember that conversation about having fun? This is fun.”

She sighed and leaned back into his arms. “If only I knew someone who was an expert in fun who could teach me more about it while we do this absurd password hunt.”

“What you never went to a bonfire rowing up? That’s literally the entire thing except instead of just burning items you’re burning marshmallows and hotdogs.” 

“I’ve done beach bonfires with booze. They were less family friendly and much more party central.”

“I know right? I mean, I get wanting to separate the drinking from the kids, but having to work for my booze? No thanks.” 

“I know it’s much less...gimicky, but I would have gone for colored wristbands to let them know we’re of age for entry or something,” she shrugged. 

“Have you tried flashing them?”

“If I flash them, I’m going to need something a little more than just free entry.”

“Yeah but they wanted this one to be a tad bit more family friendly I think.” Macy pointed at her daughter who was running around with the rest of kids, “But I agree. I don’t want to really be working for my wine.”

“I just don’t see how any event where burning and fire are encouraged can be considered family friendly. It doesn’t quite sit right.”

“If there was a good chance of murder just because of a fire present, I think the town has bigger problems.”

“Maybe it’s a bit excessive, but I’ve seen relationships go hard in this town.”

“Precisely why they’re not barring it, but keeping it away from the kids,” he shrugged. “Injuries are fine as long as a kid doesn’t accidentally see a dick slipping in.”

“You know, enough drunk angry exes and there’s a good chance that some poor sap gets pushed into the bonfire tonight. I wonder if the considered that.”

“They’re probably trying to control the amount of people actually committed to drinking considering most events tend to get at least a little out of control.”

“Is that not what these events are for? To get a little out of control? If they wanted to fix it, they’d take away the alcohol all together.”

“These things always get a little trashy in a hurry. There was probably one too many nip slips last party to let the kids around the booze.”

“Isn’t that what makes them more entertaining though? Besides, I question having a big to do that revolves around burning things and still making it kid friendly. Someone’s getting hurt tonight.”

Keegan: Sure, if that's what we need to move past this conversation. I've got no hopes for what's to come.
