Yana’s assistants and their efforts need to be acknowledged and appreciated more by fans, so here’s a quick summary of ‘who is who’ in Team Toboso.

As of May 2017, Yana has six assistants (all female) and a history advisor.

Wakana Hazuki (2006~)

aka ‘Staff H’ or ‘Chief H’

worked on every chapter since ch.3 (2006)

is in charge of scene backgrounds

she drew the tank in Green Witch arc

she once misread the Kanji 「子爵」 (”shishaku” → ‘Viscount’) as “koshaku” (→ ’impudent’). This made such a strong impression that  Yana’s team & Japanese fans call Druitt “Koshaku” to this day.

her one-shot manga “Kyouai Kakureoni” won the ‘33rd GFantasy Comic audition’ and was published in GFantasy magazine April issue in 2011

runs the “toboso_official” twitter account and keeps us updated on latest Kuro-related news

Bonus info: According to Yana, Hazuki has the cutest art style in Team Toboso.

Happy Valentine’s day!

So this is what I was working on for the last few weeks (2 and 1 week back :P). I wanted to give you something special for this day, so here it is. I also wanted them to be international and I decided to make them in english, so forgive me for all my mistakes, my english isn’t too good, but I did my best.

Characters were selected in pool on my group. These are all of mentioned ones. Fell free to use them (with credits and for free ofc!) as you like :).

1. We learn why was she practically nonexistent during an arc involving her own daughter’s disappearance: Personally I think it’s because she’s going to play a big role in the current arc, but there still needs to be a good reason for why Frances was absent during the Blue Sect Arc.

2. Frances reunites with Lizzy: Since Edward and Lizzy are heading home there’s a good chance we’ll see Frances when they get home

3. Frances is the first one to call O!Ciel by his real name: Every other character who actually knows his name hasn’t said it yet, and having her say his name would make her reappearance more dramatic. Plus, since Frances is a such a blunt and direct person, she would call O!Ciel by his real name and wouldn’t just allude to O!Ciel’s real identity like everyone else is doing.

4. It’s confirmed that Frances had known who O!Ciel was since the beginning: Considering the type of person Frances is, I think she definitely knew who O!Ciel was and didn’t tell anyone for his sake. (If this turns out to be true, I either want this to be revealed after Frances calls O!Ciel by his real name or Lizzy tells her that O!Ciel was lying about who he was and asks her why she doesn’t seem surprised)

5. O!Ciel seeking help from Frances: She was the only member of his family that was conviently absent during the twin reveal, therefore ensuring that she’s on R!Ciel’s side, making her one of Ciel’s best potential allies. Plus, if O!Ciel gets her as an ally, the rest of the Midford family would side with him as well- minus Lizzy cause she needs to sort out her feelings before siding with anyone again.

6. FRANCIS TEACHES O!CIEL: Although O!Ciel has been the Queen’s Watchdog for a couple years now he doesn’t know much about how his predecessors handled the job, and who better to teach him than Frances. Although I don’t expect her to actually teach him anything in this arc considering everything that’s going on so far, I think we’re going to at least learn more about her thoughts on the Watchdog’s duties and Vincent and Rachel’s deaths. We might even learn about Claudia Phantomhive and Cedric since the Undertaker is heavily involved in this arc, and Frances is the only one O!Ciel can ask why he’s so obsessed with the Phantomhive family.
