Hello! I am just about to finish the game I talked about a while back, and than I will be resuming the development of Ragnarock. Thatās also the reason I am making these posts so rarely lately, for which I am also very sorry :( But I am glad to say that I am in the finishing stages of the other game, for which I will also make a post about it here so you can check it out. Itās a much simpler game, but it will be something to get me started on how publishing works :) Anyway, because I didnāt make anything good to show you lately, here is the door animation for the inside of Rock INN Roll. I canāt wait to get back to this game after I finish the other one, I promise I will post more often from that moment on. Thank you all for your patience. Have a good day everybody!
Hey everybody! I am really sorry for the lack of updates... but currently, I am focusing on finishing the other project, which I mentioned in the last post... it should be up and running in about a month and after that, Iāll get back to this project full time :) But in the meantime, I have finished the inside of the top of the tower, where you will be able to offer gold to gods so they grant you some of their powers. You will be able toĀ āstart a conversationā with the book, where you can then choose from the list of available abilities.
I have to thank everybody for your support and interest, it really keeps me going! Iāll try to make my posts more frequent. Anyway, until the next update, have a good one! :)

Hello! I added the pause menu and itās functionality. In the gif above I marked the contents of the menu, so you can see whatās what. This menu also opens when you equip items (item 1, item 2), so you can choose in which slot you want to put it. Every slot is also a button, so if you press it, it will show you the name of the equipped item/ability/modifier. Have a good one everybody!

I forgot to give you guys some update, Iāve been working on the game a lot lately. I had to fix some stuff about saving again, but now it really works like it should, so it will be easy to add content in the updates. And there were also a couple of other code related things. Anyway, in the gif above, you can see the portal, with which you will start the run by porting in the first level. I also created a custom button for it, the surroundings of the portal are gonna be changed, but right now it is just randomly placed in the village and I will add more detail later when I polish the game.
This is all for now! I will probably make another post tomorrow about the pause menu I am about to finish. You can already see the pause button in the top right corner :)
Hey everybody! I am about to finish the insides of the dock house (at least the first floor for now), where you will be able to get items that will grant you all kinds of passive abilities. And on the 2nd picture is the owner of the house, an old traveller and adventurer that collected these items during his travels. This is all for now, currently I am fixing and changing a couple of major things about buying items, so there isnāt much to show you guys and girls, since there is mostly coding thatās going on... but I will have a lot more to show you hopefully very soon. Hi everybody! I finished the first skill as you can see above. Itās a simple skill for getting you out of a tight situation. This is not the only thing that I added offcourse, you can also see the health bar above, skill cooldown and health potions also already work (they are used automatically and refill a portion of your health), you can also be killed now, but I will probably show that later :) There is also a huge change about attack modifiers, as they will no longer be bound to a specific weapon (guitar) like you can see in the gif a posted a while back, but you will be able to buy/equip them separately. There will also be separate weapon and skill upgrades, so hopefully the game would be more dynamic by adding these. But I will be making another post for these changes and additions, but I have to think them through first and actually finish them. Have a good one everybody!
Hello! I am finally implementing health for the player. I already worked out the health bar and HP, but I will show that later when everything about health is finished.
Right now I am finishing the death, spawn and Bifrost animations, which you can see in the gifs above. I still have to implement this into the game, but the hard part about it is over. Anyway, this is all for now. Happy new year everybody!
Hey everyone! I didnāt have much to show you guys for some time now, because I have been perfecting the buying and trying of items, so there was mostly just code. But now I started creating stuff to buy, so first of - a new weapon. This will be the first upgrade, at least for now, and it is pretty straightforward - every time you hit something, it procs an explosion that damages anything it hits, also there is a small chance that a bigger explosion procs, like you can see when I attacked those trolls.
I also added some colour indication of how damaged the enemies are, so now the less health an enemy has, the darker his sprite is.

Hi! Iāve been away for a few days, but now, I am working on some stuff that is still pretty hard for me - like buying things and dialog systems. But here is the first thing: Buying :) Iāve made it so you use the attack, jump and ability buttons (bottom right corner) to interact with stuff, so you donāt have to move you fingers too much... for computer version this will be removed of course, but thatās another topic all together. I may change this, havenāt decided yet, but for now, this is it. The first gif shows the whole buying process, I will probably add another animation on the buy and try buttons, so you can see more clearly that they were pressed. And in the second gif, you can see what happens if you try to buy and donāt have enough money :) See you again soon, have a nice day!
Hey everyone! I have a BIG announcement. I am transforming this blog to be all about the āRAGNAROCKā game. Iāve been thinking about doing this for a while now, but I wanted to create some art for the game first, so I can change the appearance of this blog in a good way and not just to do it. Hence - new banner, new logo, new name (the old one was āmegaFIKUSā, which is my name, in case you wonder) all, except the name, are probably gonna change over time, especially when more content is added in the game. But for now, Iām quite happy with how the art turned out, I still have a lot to learn in that regard, because I havenāt been drawing for a long time now :P I hope you like it, all comments and opinions are very welcome, and if you really really like it, you would made my day if you reblog it, share it, or just show it to a friend :) And as always, have a good one!
Hey everybody! Just wanted to give you an update of whatās going on... Iāve been doing a lot of small things lately, just small additions and corrections. This target dummy for instance, will be added in the guitar shop on the second floor, so you will be able to test your damage output because of the health bar. Right now it has a steady regeneration rate, but this might change in the future, I havenāt decided just yet :) Another example of a correction is for the sheep, they have a better random movement code, they donāt walk of a cliff, and they move away from you when you run by them, not really important, but I think it gave them a nice touch :) Anyway, these are just two things that I was working on, but there is so much more that was done in the past couple of days, but I canāt show it all, but again, itās all just small corrections. But I am close on finishing the guitar shop and coding the buy/try part for weapons and upgrades. I will be showing this next, just as soon as I find the time to finish it :) Hope you like it so far, and again, all comments are most welcome :) Have a good one!
Hi! I always wanted to implement sheep into a game, and today was the day to do it I guess :) I might change the walking (prancing) animation a bit, but for now I like how they turned out. These will be added in various parts of the village, and I am planning on adding some funny powers that use these sheep in some way :) Have a nice day and see you again soon!
Hello again! I added the inside of the Rock Inn Roll, where you will always begin the game. The other thing was loading scenes by walking in doors and of course, theĀ āwalk inā andĀ āwalk outā animations for the character. Next, I will be adding the insides of the other houses that will be located in the village, in which you will be able to upgrade your instrument (weapon), buy some passive items and buy/upgrade skills.
You will always have to return to this village to upgrade stuff and save the game, thatās also the reasoning for creating an Inn, so you canĀ āstay/sleepā in it while not playing :) And again, any comments and opinions are very welcome :) Have a good one everybody!

Hey everybody, long time no see... Iāve been away for quite some time now, but now I am back for good I hope, a lot has been happening lately, and I didnāt have the time to develop as much as I wanted. Also I started a different project, because I didnāt know what to do with this one, but now I have a clear plan for this game and I am planning on finishing it before starting anything else. Also a little update, this will be a mobile game, that will later be modified for computer (PC & MAC) by adding more features if there will be enough interest. But for now, I will be making a mobile version, as you can see the buttons are already in place (they are not moving because this is a test on the computer). Anyway, I hope you like the look of this, also any comments and opinions are very welcome on this and all the posts to come, because those will really help me make this game as good as possible!
