hi there, i’m korean-american born into a full korean family. just wanna address something about the “jungkook calling jimin the n word.” the word jungkook uses, as lots of people have said, depends HEAVILY on the context. usually, people (of older age, like middle-aged people including my dad) would use that word to describe cute, dark animals such as cats, dogs, etc.; my dad often calls the black stray cats that come to our house by that word. HOWEVER, the context in which jungkook used it is indeed racist and it means the n word. i’m not defending jk at all because of my knowledge on that word; even with context, what he said was racist. it’s undeniably racist.

Has monsta x jooheon apologized for saying the n word?

okay so about exo (and this can probably relate to a lot of other groups/idols who fuck up)… I want to start off with the actual facts because this is just the Truth… exo in the past were extremely messy like the colorism was just extreme and even other things from homophobic remarks, questionable dating ages, ableist stuff etc etc (ofc this doesn’t apply to every member but looking at them as one LOL) and we as fans never ever got any form of formal apology from any of them whenever they have fucked up… like… ever…. nor did we ever get anything beyond quick backtracking from a fucked up statement and I think that is really wrong and upsetting… and looking from last summer to now exo have been involved in a few more fuck ups and they’ve all gone without any apology from the members or any regard that their behavior was uncalled for, Ugly etc….

I stand by this to this day even with my damn near ultimate bias Chen. What he did does not warrant forgiveness because he didn't ask for it. So even though I really like him and he brought a lot of happiness to me he has also upset me. I won't forget what he did and I won't forgive because he didn't ask for it. I still really like him unfortunately but I will always hold him accountable and will not defend him.
