So, while working on updates for fics, I functionally decided to do a bunch of rewrites. Mostly reformatting, updating the writing for clarity, to match my current writing style…

Just killed the biggest fly I’ve ever seen in my studio with a copy of The Art of War. Obviously that can go in my donate pile while I’m trying to slim down on stuff to pack for the move… I have learned all it has to teach me.
Also. Album is almost done. I had a little too much fun playing around with Ableton and had to retrack the whole thing and I’m up to 18 songs so some will need to be cut, but the point is, I’m trying to finish that before I move at the end of the month. Once that’s done and I’m in a new state, we will be back to our regular bs. See you all properly in June (or, you know, you can say hi. That’s always cool too. I’m just a little imaginary when every free minute is spent shoving things into boxes or donate piles and/or trying to make things sound good because this project needs to be done before I go and have to figure out the acoustics of a new space)

So. I’ve been MIA for a bit. Sorry for that. Life’s been life-ing. Little update for all of you though:
1. Fanfics. Yes I’m still writing them. Yes there will be updates for a bunch of them soon. Like probably this weekend soon. Sorry it took me so long, this was supposed to be a little self care break and then everything went crazy then I started working on a new project.
2. Asks/Requests. If you sent me an ask or request like last year at this point, or have been waiting for me to respond to your messages, sorry. I haven’t been on here so much because of said new project. I’m getting to those too. Maybe not this weekend but soon.
3. New Project. So I said I was doing it… but I’m actually making music again. Like proper, pop-punk meets grunge, all the nonsense, there’s a blog on my website because I’m going full retro with it, music. There’s like 13 songs, they’re mostly done, I’m really excited about that. I’m not really going to talk about that a ton in specific detail here because I keep my internet lives a little separate and that one has like personal info attached to it… but if we’ve chatted, or if we haven’t chatted but you’re here anyway and you want to chat about what I’ve been up to, I’m open to asks/being asked about it in DMs/whatever, because I’m very excited. Paperwork is insane, but like, I’ve been filing for trademarks and starting LLCs and building websites and recording and producing all the instruments and vocals for a full ass album that will exist on the internet in like a few months, which is kind of insane, and I’m kind of very excited about it. But that’s why I’ve been a bit AFK, because writing those took time and recording and producing those took time and I’m having a very good time with it and am also taking it fairly seriously tbh, even if I hate having to learn about all the other social media platforms I never wanted to be on again because they’re a necessary evil.
That’s it, pretty much. That’s the update. I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled bullshit soon, but hi! I promise I’m not dead, just creatively pre-occupied.

So, new year new me is being taken very literally this year I see…
Con: I have no job out of nowhere, am probably about to move across the country again, and things feel medium on fire personally as well as the generalized ambient ‘everything is on fire’ feeling that has been going on for a while now.
Pro: I am now feeling very motivated to do all the creative and major life change things I’ve been thinking about doing for a while now, because what else am I going to do while figuring shit out!
Anyway, anyone want to help me decide if I should re-spec into a proper luthier because I figured out it isn’t actually that difficult to find proper guitar building classes where I might be moving, if I should just say fuck it and spend the next few months actually writing that fucking book, finally actually get the PhD I’ve been fucking around thinking about, or just go crash on my friend’s couch for the next month or two while we finish up writing and recording this weird little album we’ve been working on? All of it maybe? I’m kind of thinking all of it…
