I personally increased the range, impact, and fire rate for it

Nothing like firing a spiked titanium-adamantine alloy at mach fuck and watching everything in its path gain a brand new hole, practically deleting all matter it hits

My current rail rifle is a YX-11 but with a melee package on it that got recommended by an acquaintance. Really helped reinforce it for CQB purposes after my last two got destroyed, and it didn’t affect the range or reliability at all. Not that the reliability is the greatest anyway, but it hits like nothin’ else.

What’s your favourite movement style for a frame?

I'm curious on what others use, no two melees are quite the same

As for favorite moment style, I tend to rock max speed, max dodge light weight build

And with accustomed to quick firing the Anti-Matter Rifle in mid to close range don't need much for protection if everything is dead before they can even truly lock-on

Also helps have an autonomous frame so I can participate in the battle like I'm Levi from AoT hehe~

Oh hell yeah, I run something similar. I even got a frame that has hover repulsors in the feet so it can glide around the field. I got a little armour and a shield on a subarm just in case, but really the armour would only stop the most basic shots coming at it.

Gods, that is really fuckin cool. I usually just go hard around the flanks and take down any enemy frames with my rocket pod and railgun. They never think to check behind ‘em.

Ooo that's smart. Been wanting to make some modifications to my mech so I might borrow the glide ability for the added speed or less friction.

I do have a hard light pop up shield and plasma lined longsword for my mechs CQC but a subarm is quite smart.

And yea, flanking around the frames is very fun to do, especially if you pop off the leader of the squadron with the first shot.

Though can't lie, landing on an enemy mechs cockpit and shoving my sword straight through the glass always makes the pilots shit themselves. It's the funniest thing ever.

You’re welcome to steal the idea, wasn’t even my thought to begin with. The hovers just came pre-installed on my beloved Stargazer when she left the factory. It’s the most satisfying thing to skate around in urban environments while avoiding fire.

You definitely got a better melee setup than me, I only got the solid shield and a retractable heat blade on my frame. It’s not the best for dueling, but I’m not planning on coming face to face with most of the rebels I usually fight.

And true! Luckily the forces my base usually deal with are uncoordinated enough that even knocking out a non-vital member of their squads make em start to panic.

Like, if it wasn't meant to be used that way, then why did you send it out into combat??

Skating does sound fun, though my mech tends to do that already with the amount of thrust she gets. Might expand the idea into some kind of flight for some holy shots from above hehe~

Yea I don't plan on it but better safe than sorry. And it's always faster to swap to my secondary (aka sword and shield) than it is to reload in tight spots.

Damn luckyyyy. I have fight mercenary groups that only care about the paycheck so picking off the leader does fuck all but make them more aggressive.

Also makes sense. That’s why the heat blade on my frame is retractable, just need one moment and them zwip, I got a dagger out of my mech’s wrist.

Yeahhhh,, there’s occasionally one or two mercs looking for a paycheck but every other enemy up here is some ragtag rebel cell who thinks that they can “change the Empire”, somehow.

If anything I would love to use the flying system for a dramatic effect, especially if I can get my satellite system up and to aid me in battles.

Yea the amount of pilots I've wiped that think they can solo the empire and better than any hound they encounter. They are fun to disable and force them to watch as I wipe their entire squadron before giving them a slow crushing death.

You got a whole satellite system???? Goddamn, that’s impressive. If I’m lucky I get one of the better AWACS pilots looking out for me.

If you can ever find a way to visit my base or I can find a way to get a transfer outta here, I’d be more than happy to show you! It’s older tech compared to some of the plasma stuff, but I like that even if the heat fails it’s still a physical blade.

Oh yeah. It’s always some brand new rookie too, like someone who maybe took out one or two of the grunts if they’re lucky, but really has no clue how to fight anyone with any actual skill. Always relies on the “power of friendship” to survive, never actually has it work out. It’s even more fun for me to leave ‘em alive and let the recovery team back at base know they have a new potential asset~

Handcrafted myself, took a few weeks and still in the testing stages, though only works if I'm getting space dropped and stay on the same continent. Otherwise it's a glorified comms. And so far it can only fire one shot before it literally melts outside with the amount of power it produces, so gotta fix that, somehow...

I mean send your planet cords and I'm sure I can go out for a trip. My current base is located on a fleet so not exactly stationary, though allows a lot more sortie opportunities.

Well, I’m on Earth, so I’m not exactly worried about being somewhere too out of the way. It’s more permissions and stuff that’s an issue from what I know. My station’s on a base waaayyyy north, Outskirts Territory 14. Part of what used to be called Quebec before the imperial days, I think?

I built all my tech on my own, from my augments to my own mech. All handcrafted by me. And since I've been "adopted" is best term here, I got access to endless amount of tech and money. Hells I raided a bunch of rebel storehouses during my last sortie for a bunch of rare minerals and alloys for my next projects.

Though orbital support is rare, it's not unheard of, especially when we are fighting on a different planet every week. This will just be my own personal one if I can figure it out.

Ah that old place. Yea I was born somewhere in territory 10 I think? Somewhere in what was Alberta, but left the planet when I was still a babe. I'm sure I can figure out something to go out and get sent back there for a bit.

Hehe yea, if I'm feeling cocky or my god complex is spiking I tend to seek out Handlers and command to run my mouth at them. Not like they can really punish me so it's pretty fun.

The ads are just the generic like, recruiting videos with a whole lotta stuff being blown up along with reasons why people should join the imperial military. I don’t care about the commentary but the weapons are pretty,, Oh, I’d love to go out of atmosphere! If command allows me to.

I’d happily give you a tour! The base isn’t the most complex, but I know it like the back of my hand! Even some of the parts that Hounds aren’t usually allowed in.

Command sort of act as my “handlers” until they find an actual Handler I’m willing to work with, so I don’t really talk back to them too much unless they’re telling me to do something stupid, but yeah I love bullying the actual Handlers around this base.

Now I'm curious on what weapons are shown in them, you gotta show me sometime. As for command, don't worry about them, I'll take the heat. Not like I listen to them anyways hehe.

Ah yea I know that feeling, been there and all that. Never stopped me from talking back, but I do agree bullying the other real "Handlers" so much fun. Half of them barely know what to do with a dog that talks back, so one that has a sharp tongue really throws them in a loop.

Oh yeah!! My personal room is so comfy,, it’s one of the single occupant rooms instead of in a bunk, and it’s not even in the kennels! And I have a lot of little cozy spaces in storage rooms and a couple vents. There’s even one in a storage room that’s right next to a bubble window so I can see out over the landscape!

Yeahhh.. There have been a couple Handlers like that who I’ve seen on base, but they usually don’t last too long before command straighten them out.

The view is so pretty,, especially in the fall and winter when the trees change or when the snow starts. It’s practically a second bedroom for me at this point. Also yeah, my bed is so comfy! I’ve got so many blankets to bury myself under and a really nice mattress and a plushie shark,,,
