Nothing could have mentally prepared me for what happens in the first like, 20 mins of this movie. It’s so BAD. And here I thought edge of sanity was bad with the over the top evil doing, but this particularly struck a nerve with me…it’s no wonder I forgot it.

Hyde’s cruelty is only ever deliberately found in senseless, non sexual violence that comes from an intolerance for other people. Without going too much into how Hyde is as a character, it’s often implied that his violence and evil in general isn’t found in any sexual acts. He’s just vindictive and short tempered: like if you waste his time he’ll attack you…

Again, it’s why it feels so redundant to want to make hyde “more evil” by making him violate somebody… it’s again, unnecessary and wholly disgusting. The charm with Jekyll and hyde is that Jekyll is a doctor, so he should help people who are hurt or sick. He literally took an oath to do no harm as a physician. Hyde on the other hand is a murderer who punches people on the street and walks over people who are in his way, the most is that he’s physically hurtful.

I suppose the point I’m making is that he’s already opposite to Jekyll in the evil he does, and there is no need to add these elements to his character which only make the viewers uncomfortable. He’s evil enough yo

I saw some adaptations of Hyde that forgets he's not a brave violent monkey, but a such coward. When it comes to danger the most "gentle" side shows, just remember Richard's tell and Carew incident.

In both moments the book remarks that Hyde was scared, uninterested of the consequenses of his crimes, but scared.

I have mixed feelings toward Mazm Game, but talking about personality I feel is the closest to understand Hyde's mind.

They didn't have to add some lady being assult to proove he's evil, on the contrary, they did a great job with his apathethic side, with not caring for Kay's feelings and deliberitary punching her just 'cause he found her irritable, in the prequel Game. Also abandoning her in middle of a fight; manipulating/using her; making fun of her.
