I have the most amazing boyfriend ever.
He has planned us a whole trip in San Diego for our 2 year anniversary. Seriously, I love surprises, and this whole trip is full of them. Last night we went to a John Philip Sousa concert. Headed out to hang with friends! I was just really feeling myself tonight, my make up was on point, I had just done my nails, and I felt cute AF. We went to a screening of Kung Fu Panda 3, had some drinks, and just let loose and had a great time! Itâs good to just relax once in a while.Â

More of me working on myself! I went hiking for the first time in god knows how long. I was really struggling at first, by my friends were super supportive, and gave me the push I needed to keep going. As soon as we got to the creek, it wasnât just hard work anymore, it was exciting! Getting to the waterfall was like a huge prize.Â
I just remember sitting quietly with my friends, all of us just enjoying each others company and the beauty of nature around us. Itâs definitely an incentive to keep going!Â

Pushing yourself is hard. But the goal is to be the best you that you can be. Here i remember hurting and wanting to take a break... but then shaking myself out of it and doing another rep. Pushing myself to finally be someone that I am proud of. Itâs hard work, but I always feel good in the end.Â

Any day I get to spend with you is a great day in my book. We decided to finally try Boiling Point, a Taiwanese hot pot restaurant. It was actually really good! Hereâs to trying new things.Â
The only part that sucks is that they serve fermented tofu...aka stinky tofu. The worst smelling thing on this earth. And the people on either side of us both ordered it. WHY. Â

So I joined a Gym today. Planet Fitness. I know itâs not the best or most prestigious gym, but hey, Iâm doing something. Iâm tired of looking at myself and not being happy.Â
Every time Iâve tried to get fit before Iâve done it for someone else. âI want to look better when I see my extended familyâ or âI want to look better for promâ. This time, its just for me, for my health, and my happiness.Â

Sushi is starting to become my go to hangover food. After a long night of fun karaoke, some of us met up for some delicious food after. Itâs always good to spend time with good friends. And nurse hangovers together.Â
day 15
Tonight was Karaoke Round 2! It really was a fun night, despite some people bailing last minute, a ton of people getting sick, and others coming late. Really if you think about it, none of that matters. The people who were there were fun, we had a blast, and we are going to do it again soon!Â
This is my friend Paul. He was trying to take a picture, but dropped my phone. The camera went off the second he dropped the phone, and snapped this photo. I think itâs hilarious! There are other photos to commemorate this night, but this one says a lot to me. Itâs unexpected, and itâs gold, even though it wasnât planned. So even though the night didnât go perfectly, it was still awesome.Â
So I fell behind. I'll update a few pictures...but I don't think I'm gonna try to catch up for every day.

Day 13 Today was pretty eventful actually. I went to the Workers Comp doctor for the last time (hopefully)!! So happy. I'm sick of waiting for hours and hours there just for them to tell me "oh it's no big deal". Whatever. My managers know what's up and won't push me if I tell them I'm hurt. Then I bought some fruit snacks because I'm a god damn adult. Work was entertaining as well. Management decided to send all of us- box, greeter, usher, and concession- all on break at once. They were gonna cover for us. It was fun being on break with everyone at once....but man it was a disaster waiting to happen! Then they all went on break after us!! It was a disaster waiting to happen. Luckily, nothing bad actually happened. It was great to have a break with all of them at once actually! Afterwards we hit up in-n-out, as we do. It was a nice way to end the night. Unfortunately, I closed tonight and open in the morning. Hence the SUPER late post. So I'll be at work tomorrow at 9 am. Can't wait.
day 12
No photo for today. Honestly, today was just a me day. I slept in, caught up on some netflix, painted my nails, and played with my dog.Â
My life is everywhere lately, Iâm always doing something or going somewhere. More often than not Iâm extremely stressed, and constantly worrying. So I took a mental health day.Â
There should really be more days like this in my life... and Iâm going to try my best to make that happen.Â
Day 11
I am so lucky to have this man in my life. It doesnât matter if weâre having awesome double dates, going to christmas parties, or just having a relaxing night in... the time we spend together is always special. He has changed my life for the better. Plus, he totally carries the team for Korean BBQ.Â
Iâm excited to spend the rest of 2016 with him. I feel like we make an amazing team.Â
Today his mom and I decided to surprise him with a new bed frame while he was at work. They had recently moved to a new apartment, and he hadnât gotten one yet. So I spent a few hours cleaning up, rearranging his room, and shopping with his mom for new sheets and pillows. Â Sadly, the bed frame wasnât delivered in time to truly surprise him!! But the clean room was certainly surprise enough.Â

So I had previously decided to complete this project on instagram. But recently, Iâve been worrying about the photo spam it would cause. Hence, the decision to move it here.Â
While trying to think up a clever username, I decided to try my usual âraemayâ. Much to my chagrin, it was taken! I decided to look up who was using my precious UN, and realized...oops...it was me.Â
I had completely forgotten about this blog, having had no time in the past few years to really get out and use my DSLR. There are lots of reasons I havenât used my camera in a while. I did two professional photo shoots, before I got a job that would actually pay me steady money. School really started to pick up more as well, as I had to actually declare a major. Suddenly I had no time to take Alonso (my cameraâs name... donât judge) out to practice.Â
This year Iâm hoping to change that. Iâm hoping to take my camera around with me more, and refine my skills as a photographer. Writing daily posts will help my writing as well. It will also keep me inspired to continue adventuring, not just sitting at home all day when I donât have work or class.Â
I have never taken the phrase ânew year, new meâ very seriously before, but right now, it seems like a good start.Â
