L.A. vacation recap 2026 pt. 2 Gally
Left Disneyland on Wednesday morning, then drove out to Torrance so i could visit the AnimateUSA store in the Del Amo Fashion Center. Picked up a few stickers and charms from The Summer Hikaru Died and Genshin Impact.
went to a Doctor Who convention to kig as a Doctor
Was only able to be around for a bit because of my ding-dang real-life body not cooperating
but being Five was fun while it lasted!

I have returned home from gallifrey one :,(
Notes to self for next Doctor Who convention:
1) have some non-Gallifrey audio related ribbons to hand out, tumblr has misled you on the popularity/recognition of that series
2) continue to cosplay the 12th doctor, but also work out some other back up cosplays, that jacket is fucking hot
3) make sure to pack some breath mints if you continue to cosplay 12, because missy cosplayers might pin you against a wall, and you'll be worried about that the whole time
4) bring ducktape, the ribbons do not like to stick to each other
Home from Gallifrey One, an amazing time as always. Saw interviews with Jo Martin, Freema Agyeman, and Millie Gibson but otherwise spent most time in fan panels and/or hanging with friends and/or very firmly asking a fan panel moderator to stop being an ass about SFA
Also ate spectacular Mexican seafood tostadas and tacos at Holbox, because of course LA has a Michelin-starred, casual Mexican seafood joint in a food hall.
Would particularly like to thank LA for an unexpected heat wave of 70°-80°F (21-27°C) most days, what with coming from the Boston area and temperatures that were, shall we say, substantially below that – I love me some winter, but sometimes, a break is truly necessary.
