“Nice.”
Argentina.
He ordered some his favorite type of chicken as well as some more. Once he finished, he stepped aside so Lucas could order his food.
Lucas ordered his own without any topping sauce, being unable to understand how one could eat with it unless it had been his mother's recipe. Alec had that somewhere, or at least he was pretty sure Alec did.
"Want some juice too?"
Ness nods, his small but incredibly dorky smile becoming a bigger yet still extremely dorky smile. “I do. I do love him very much.” Just thinking about him is enough to lift his spirits. Something to take comfort in even though that love is indirectly the cause of today’s awkward conversation.
The hatted psychic listens to the rest that Lucas has to say, wondering when the blond will get to chastising his behavior or expressing disgust at what he’s done. Yet other than not wanting to know about the ‘tease’ thing, it never came.
I’m happy for you. I’m happy for you. The words echoed in his head, and they are enough to finally make Ness feel relief over this entire confession. Lucas doesn’t hate him, he isn’t grossed out to the point of wanting their friendship to be dissolved. He knows now but is accepting of it nonetheless.
The burden of the pudding-haired friend finding out and reacting badly has been lifted, along with most of Ness’ nervousness right now. He pulls up his hat to look the other in the eye again. Mouth opens but he is at a lost for words.
"Thank you," he manages to verbalize at last. "Thank you for understanding. I know I should have told you two months ago when we started dating, but it never came up and you can tell now how much I didn’t want it to come up." His smile is much less dorky now, but just as wide as earlier. Ness is so thankful to still have his best friend.
Thank you? Lucas rubs his neck, now falling back and placing the remote control to his side. He's not sure what Ness expected, but if it was him, he would definitely think he'd be gross. So a fear is understood.
Two months though?
... Not that he's one to talk.
"I would've appreciated it, but I was avoiding asking you about those things. I can't say I expected that though." Good thing wasn't it? Awkward or not, he was also well aware that the best friend status between them hasn't been trifled with. Which mattered the most, Ness being one of six that Lucas himself trusted his life with.
"Oh yeah and..." He puts a crooked smile. "Lucases are handsome. I'd date myself." All jokes of course, he would never date himself. Himself being him in specific. "You go off on your date. I can do this boss battle by myself. Since, I've sort of wasted time here hadn't I?" He laughs sheepishly.
"Sorry."

He entered and thank Lucas. "I can't wait." He seemed excited for this, though even he didn't really care, for he was having some fun.
He nodded in response walking in after and looked at the non-existent line with a surprisingly amount of glee.
"We got here at a good time." Whoohoo. They got to come right in and buy what they wanted! "Go on you order first, I could grab us from drinks too." What to drink? Juice of course. Juice was great.
"Well, I'm glad that your nose is okay." He couldn't wait to start eating, as his stomach gave a growl. "Huh? Err, sorry, I guess I really am hungry..."
"Yeah, I'm hungry too. Don't worry." Up onto the mini porch and Lucas opens the door to the foods place. Last time Ben did this didn't he? Lucas mused on that for a good second before dismissing the thought.
"Let's eat!"
He sniffed the air and could tell where it was. "Alright, I know where it is." He didn't even know where that came from. "Well uh... I guess my sense of smell is getting to be really good." He chuckled nervously.
Lucas snickered in return of that. A + to you Ben.
"Good thing." He stops pointing and continues on their merry way. "Mines decent. It's gotten pretty faulty with all the sheep, and then while I was moving around with some friends my nose took a few hits." He rubs the said nose gently and sniffed. "Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if I lost some sense of smell." Heh.
"Well, you are right, but I want my friends to be happy..." He smiled more at the thought. "I see, well, that still very kind of you." Why did he feel so happy? He usually is only like this around Axel and Carter. "Are we close to the place?"
"You got it! I also want my friends to be happy. See, same values. Probably why I think you're a good person to be around." He reasons it like so, and Lucas nods his head.
"It's a block away. Or so. You see it-?" He tries to be more precise with pointing and all but it's not the most accurate thing considering they both had different stand views.
"I would like to eat inside this time around. And that is very nice of you Lucas." His scarf fell away from his face and revealed that Ben had a rather big smile.
He did throw glances every so often, of course to make sure Ben was coming along. Eye contact was something he always taught when having conversations. Flint taught no mumbler, although he did go almost missing for a while.
"It's not nice, you would do it for me too. Just think of it as something I would usually do!" He laughed, yeah it felt good to be outside. Maybe he had gone missing, for who knows how long.
"Inside it'll be. We have to get a spot near the window." He pointed to the shop not too far from them.

"I'd rather not think on it either." He looked back at Lucas, a smile appearing on his lips. He shakes his head and starts to smell food. "We should be arriving soon." He says in a low voice. "Are you sure you don't mind paying Lucas?" While his tone was neutral there was a hint of happiness to it.
"It's all on me. I want to." He nods in mild agreement and sureness of his statement.
"Do you want to eat inside or outside again? I'm pretty good on both." Lucas always sounds happy, what are you talking about? Just kidding. He did carry an aura to keep himself boosted however. It's what he did-!

thank you!))
He waits, surprised he hasn’t yelled at him, or told him how weird and gross he is. Though Lucas hasn’t said anything at all either. Only silence, with every second that passes increases the nervousness he feels, wondering what his friend’s final judgement of his news will be. They say telling people your problems will make you feel better, but Ness doesn’t feel any relief yet.
When the silence finally breaks, as quiet as it is, he hears not his choices being condemned, just a reminder that his statement of this Lucas never having met his date being a lie. ”I guess you might. We’ve both met a lot of other yous.” As far as he’s concerned, the judgement is being internalized.
"His last name is Pilgrim. He likes to wear skirts, is a clean freak, and is the biggest tease ever." Talking about him is enough to bring the slightest of smiles to his face. Ness probably could have left out that last part, but at this point he didn’t care; whatever opinion Lucas has on all this probably can’t be changed by anything else he says. Unless he tells him about the sex but NO.
Funny how he hadn't thought that it was gross or anything. Just. Weird. It being that they've been best friends for quite a while now, so th. Clean freak, he's reminded of one he's met, almost assured he's seen him.
That Claus, Claus Pilgrim. Right, He was acquainted. To be entirely honest, he would've said something more if not for Ness's silly and dorky smile.
Ah. Friend.
"... And you love them very much." He states. That's what mattered didn't it? They were friends anyhow, and the other Lucas and him would... Be more. Awkward, sure, after all Lucas could never make himself see a Ness like that-- he'd assume to never be able to. But, he did have to admit having his friend happy made him happy.
And boy, he was sure that Lucas was happy too. He's glad for that.
"Ness. Er. That's wonderful but- I could've gone without the tease part." Cue a slightly 'tmi' scoff. "....Uh... Sorry I asked. I er... Well, I know I would be pretty... Eh.... About telling you somethin' like that... So." He nodded his head once. "I'm happy for you. I think."
"Well, I guess it will be chicken and salad for today. If Axel was here he would be happy..." Ben had returned to normal blank face and neutral tone. "On second thought, maybe its better its just you and I." He looked ahead, but also looked over to Lucas from time to time. Every time he caught himself looking for too long, he would look the other way at something else, until he found himself starring at that direction for too long, and moved again.
Funny how Lucas had grown more used to hearing Ben talk with more emotion. Or what was the word for it? Just gentler? He wasn't sure. Strangely enough the mention of Axel causes the psychic to burst out laughing.
"Chicken and salad is one of his things huh? Yeah, he's a funny guy. Not too sure what'd he say about us eating." He halted speaking continuing his moderate pace. "I think you're right. We're better off just us. Not sure what he'd say."
"Chicken will do nicely I suppose. That does seem to be one of favorite foods now." He continues to follow him. "What would you like to eat by the way?" Ben asks. He sighs, forcing his emotions aside so he wouldn't worry the blond.
Chicken. He notes that with some amusement and finds that his smile is easily turning into a more natural one.
"Salad and chicken sounds good. We can make do in the middle. I wouldn't mind eating some chicken." This was a lot easier of a pick than last time. He continued to look at Ben questioning the sigh if not for a moment before turning back to look at where he was walking.
Not today walls. You would not be crashed into. Probably.

tbh i know literally nothing about mother but lucas is rad u go
Thanks!
Again, AGAIN, he barely manages to stop himself from falling and instead stumbles back at the wall in his his way. This, obviously, had not been in desired destination. He keeps the hat firmly planted on his head as he wearily stabilizes himself, a bit too dazed to really tell what was going on just yet.
Lucia was woken from his daze by the commotion. he stood, straitening his skirts and garbing the staff and baseball bat from the umbrella holder full of weapons that he had collected through the years, nostalgic weapons. He made his way quickly down the stair to where the noise had come from. He stopped dead when he saw the hat. shaking his head, no… no it wasn’t the hair was blond… oh… "Oh…what… what are you doing here….?" he spoke his eyes still locked on the hat.
"yeah… Ness… Ness is very important." The dragon swayed a bit, a memory threatening to take over, but he shook it off quickly, "I understand, It is alright if you don’t understand my relationship with Porky."
"Well, I wouldn't say I don't understand, it's just that... I'm not ready to stomach it." Bitterness that would stick with him for much too long. But Lucas knew that along the time that he'd no doubt spend living his life, his dislike and perhaps hatred would numb out.
That is, if the pig mask was a reasonable guy to talk to, which he wasn't At least, not now. "How were... How did... How do you feel about everything?" In general. He might've not been making sense.
