Hello everybody this is the mun here speaking with some bad news: Iâm ending this blog and leaving it up as an archive. Those reading this might be wondering why, and Iâll answer that.
I used to RP with a certain Lucas, we RPed all the time and had a lot of fun. They were an AU blog and through association, I became one too. Sure being an AU made it hard to RP with other people at times, but that didnât matter as long as I could still RP with them. Then things went wrong. While Iâd love to get into the details I wonât do it here. The main thing is that it turns out that person lost interest in RPing Lucas and theyâre done now. That person will never RP that Lucas again. Despite such a feeling going on for months, I never got direct confirmation of this until yesterday, though it was something I suspected for some time.
Now you may be thinking âPeople stop RPing all the time, why is this such a big deal?â. The thing is, we RPed all the time and my Ness became enveloped in this AU, it was canon for the blog. I canât just have a blog thatâs part of an AU when the other half doesnât exist anymore. Itâs awkward and it makes no sense. And itâs just sad. Yet at the same time I canât just ignore it and pretend all those times never existed. We RPed together for two years. Those adventures, those fun times, their son, the marriage. All that happened and I love it all so much. All those interactions with Lucas were this entire blog once the original friends I made this blog for in the first place fell apart and stopped RPing. Ignoring those two years basically reset the blog completely, and I canât do that. I refuse to treat all that as though it was nothing. It was never âjustâ an AU and I never want to here what we did here described as that. That AU was everything. I thought of that Ness and Lucas all the time. And now that AU is officially goneâŚ
Due to all this, the blog is done. I simply canât RP here anymore. Iâm not leaving tumblr though. I plan on making a new blog for Ness soon, in a few days probably. No AU, just a normal Ness. A lot of headcanons and such will transfer over so this Ness will be the same in certain aspects. Also since the EarthBound RP community is dead (minus 2 different Lucas and a new Giegue) Iâll add a smash verse too. Only reason I never made Smash Bros canon to this blog in the first place was because I thought it was unfair to give Ness the elemental psi in addition to his canon psi attacks. I donât have to worry about that detail with separate verses. Plus, a new blog will be good for me, as most of my followers and the blogs Iâm following are dead blogs, so a new blog can help me reorganize my dash. Maybe find some active RPers who I wonât have to worry about scaring away due to being part of a complex AU. Cause that blog wonât be.
So in conclusion, the Ness on this blog will live happy peaceful life with his Lucas and their son, one they earned after all the hardships they went though. I am forced to move one, with a new Ness. A pity this has to happen a few days after this Nessâ birthday, but so be it. If I had known about my RP partnerâs problems way earlier, then maybe we could have forced out one final thread to serve as an ending. Instead, this blog ends as is. It makes me sad doing all this, but itâs all I can do.
Once I make the new blog Iâll post the link here, and then this blog will be done (itâll still be up though in case you want to look at the relics of the past). The threads with dancingandsweets and spiritunraveler will continue there, as those threads (along with the finished on with zorra-lombardi) were made while I was suspecting my RP partner would never RP Lucas again and thus make no references to the AU.
