A Bloody Rivalry

Redraw/reimagining of a piece from 10 years ago, The Baths. While back then I drew draagul's Trikoz, this time I've drawn my own Vashar, the predecessor to the same temples that Trikoz would come to claim years later. Vashar is an aged emberspike who takes pleasure in the material benefits of being a leader, covering himself in precious metals and gems. Here, he is tended to by some of his blazlin servants who ensure his scales are gleaming for when he meets the next diplomatic entourage. Technically, Vashar has spots - I just couldn't get them to look right and decided I preferred this piece without. You can see his spots here, though. This piece also served as painting practice, background practice, and just... spending time trying to learn to enjoy the process again. I'm pretty proud of it but I need to move on and stop tweaking it lol.

A long-awaited cover commission for my friend Sol for the first book in his Emergence series, Here Be Dragons. For millennia, humanity thought the Mainland and its surrounding islands was the only substantial landmass in existence. That is, until the world's first satellite launched and sent back images of two other continents in the far ocean. The Horizon, first intercontinental sailing ship ever built, sets sail for the new lands with a crew of world-renowned experts. Nearly to new shores, disaster strikes during a freak storm, leaving the ship at the hands of a lone survivor: Dr. Alexander Pryce. Without the expertise of his colleagues, Pryce must survive in uncharted land while he waits for rescue, alone. Or so he thinks.
Last attack of '25 on Icarus.bonez of their character Selene! I really liked the contrasting lighting in this one.

Rackiera's new ref, also made last year as a companion to Areikzar's ref. This is the first major change to Rackiera's design since... well, ever, for this level of change - but the last 'bigger' change I did was over 10 years ago. I'm really bad at uploading art so here's an updated reference sheet of my OC Areikzar from a year ago or so! I redesigned her and I'm really happy with how she looks now. She is the same species as Rackiera, but a different subspecies.
