Like Venezuela is such a mess right now and people just dont know it

We are in such destroyed state in economy and politics that my teacher even think that dictatorship (what my country has been for a long time now) isn’t even enough to describe it

We have gigantic inflation (the Bolivar, my country’s coin, is basically WORTHLESS)

Last time the dollar high price was exactly last week, and the prices high too

US: The monthly variation of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.8%, so that accumulated inflation in 2021 is 3.4%

Venezuela: The monthly variation of the CPI (Price Index Consumption) has been 28.5%, so that the accumulated inflation in 2021 is of 264.8%.

96% of the country is poor

The main problems are Economic policies, crime, drug trafficking, corruption, recession, shortages, unemployment, authoritarianism, human rights violations

There were patrols in the middle of the streets even before quarantine but if they stopped you they checked your car and then ask for money to let you go if not you go to the police (this happened me, they almost took my dad after we were back from our trip to Boston, they were about the exit of the airport) I don’t know if they keep doing this, I haven’t got out that much cause covid

We have an internal armed conflict with Colombia (our own brother country) some of the causes are: The weakness of the State, and the absence of its institutions in large regions of the national territory.

There was a weird relationship between Maduro (Venezuela’s dipshit dictator) and Trump (US both destroyed Venezuela and helped)

THOUNDSENS OF PROTESTS, And how the government react? TEAR GAS

A WHOLE WEEK OF PROTEST, I LOST THOSE CLASSES, A WHOLE WEEK WITHOUT GOING OUT FEARING THE WORST, MY MOM WENT OUT TO PROTEST MY SISTER WAS SO SCARED

And last but not least, the energy problems. MASSIVE BLACKOUT during from hours to weeks AROUND ALL THE COUNTRY, they are not as common now but they were a everyday thing just two years ago

The only good thing this bringed to my country was screaming ‘’MADURO COÑO DE TU MADRE’’ 

Those are all the main issues that came to my mind

THERE’S SO MUCH MORE TO THIS!!!!

I cant even BELIEVE all this people who said they care so much about how all black lives matter, but are so IGNORANT to the THOUNDSEN OF ISSUES on Latin America

The worst part is that, this is not new news for Venezuela. THREE DICTATORSHIPS IN A ROW. CARLOS ANDRES PEREZ, CHAVEZ, MADURO AND WHOEVER IS NEXT.

But after all there IS a light of hope
