Confusion between banishing and binding spells is actually pretty common; however, it’s crucial that you understand the difference between the two.

Binding spells attach something, or most commonly, someone to something/one else. Oftentimes this attachment is SUPER intense and it can be permanent.

Banishing spells, on the other hand; remove something(or more frequently: someone). This is normally a permanent removal.

This is an important distinction; although magick spells are normally used for manifesting, bringing something/one to you, the reverse is needed just as much!

Banishing spells are typically done at the waning moon, in hopes that just as the moon diminishes; so will the unwanted presence.

Also falling under the same category as banishing spells are Avoidance spells. These spells, as the name suggests; are used when you wish to avoid contact with whoever. Banishing spells can also be used to prevent any unwelcome returns, too. However; you may want to consider doing a protection spell to reinforce, or in some cases replace, the banishing spell.

Some neat and nifty charms, spells, rituals, formularies, and all manners of enchantment. This will not hand you closure; that’s your job to find it! Sure, this book might help you find closure; but I don’t guarantee you anything of that sort. You should take bits in pieces of the information given, whatever feels comfortable for you; put those pieces together for yourself.

This book honors what has gone before it and what is new; it could be described as a vehicle of personal interpretation, magick, and faith. It could be a magickal cookbook, encyclopedia, dictionary, or something entirely different! Everything will be in five distinct categories as well; for easy location! Part I, History & Mystery, will go through the history of witchcraft as a practice; as well as where it came from. I’ll also be going over some ceremonies/holidays, and common paths of witchcraft. Part II, Objects & Tools, I’ll be going over common tools found in, most, modern day witchcraft practices and their origins. Part III, Skills & Knowledge, is where you’ll find things like auric programming, astrology, and herbs; among other occult-related subjects. Part IV, Magick and Enchantment, covers the general forms of magick and the items associated with it, ranging from holographic quantum physics to medieval ideas. And the final part, part V; Real Life with Magick, will go over real life things. Things such as grades, family difficulties, eating disorders, dating, suicide, peer presure, stalkers, shopping, anger-- real things that occur within real human lives! There’s some serious, lighthearted, and amusing things within this category. Just like life; although, I know some of us don’t want to admit it… Life isn’t all bad, there is a glimmer of hope in every rainy day; you just might need to look a little harder sometimes. And that’s okay!

How you use this Book…

Is entirely up to you! Feel free to skip the parts you already know, or read each section in order. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that you learn something; be it a new way of looking at something, or something entirely new!

This book is aimed for people who are either just starting out, or are intermediate in their craft; so if something is too basically explained, I’m really sorry! I do not mean to insult anyone’s intelligence; I’m just trying to make it so the majority of people can understand certain topics.

Hey!! Piper here; I’m just letting you peeps know th at I’m going to attempt to write a book!! I’m really new to book writing; so that’s why I say that I’m going to “attempt” to do it!

Also; if you peeps want to see anything specific pop up in my book; message me, or comment, or even reblog!! I have a few notes of what I want to cover in this already, but I’m always open to suggestions!!

What is a pendulum?

In the most basic definition, a pendulum is a weighted object at the end of a string. This object can be anything heavier than the string itself. And when I say it can be anything, I mean anything. A ring, a stone, a crystal*, anything!

Now, I had put an asterisk on ‘crystal,’ this was not by mistake! Many people believe that any given crystal has a specific energy; and that energy will affect the readings given by that crystal. As in, if you’re doing a love reading; then you might choose to use one with rose quartz, and so on.

What is a Pendulum used for?

They are mainly used for ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answers. These answers can be from whatever you believe; ancestors, your higher self, deities, or even spirits. So, yes; they can also be used for spirit communication, but just like a spirit board, the spirit is not included.

What makes them work?

There isn’t one specific answer for this, but the “main” belief is that when you hold the pendulum; there’s a vibration that goes through your arm and to the pendulum. Now, this vibration could be from your heartbeat, your higher self, a deity, or a spirit. Like I said, there isn’t one definite answer, it’s really what you believe.
