Helene usually drank at home. It was rare for her to be out socialising at a bar if it wasn’t for a gala or business meeting, she tried to avoid the rumour mill from spreading gossip about her personal life and what she did with it. She had a reputation to uphold, after all. There were enough people in town that weren’t fans of hers, she’d rather not stir up CONTROVERSY too often, not wanting to indulge those who weren’t on her team. But tonight was different. She’d had a long, GRUELLING day, one that rattled her more than she cared to admit. One drink wouldn’t hurt, right? She may be the mayor, but she was allowed to enjoy herself.
A martini in hand, she sat at the bar, surveying the crowds of people sauntering in and out of the hotel, mostly tourists, but she did notice an array of locals in her vicinity. Those who also probably preferred the Edelweiss’ bar more than the grungier ones they had in town.
Taking a sip of her drink, her dark hues flitted to the person by her side, offering them a polite smile. “Are you enjoying your night? It’s BUSIER than I thought it’d be. Especially for a Monday. But the tourists really seem to be enjoying it here.”

Regardless of class level, no Elmerton native could help their addiction to the street food, fresh from local vendors along the beach, bringing various cuisines– a taste of the world to the vibrant town. “It’s been years since I’ve been here,” in this particular part of Elmerton, to be exact. Quite used to standing out, Scarlett didn’t bother blending in– in her designer outfit, impeccable from head to toe, wearing bright colors– but stranger sights had been seen around Elmerton.
“And I can’t seem to find Holy Guacamole– taco heaven (tire repair also)? The owner is a mean old man who yelled at me one too many times, but I’m willing to let it slip for a taco al pastor,” she mused out loud, not ready to give up on her search just yet (Scar had never been the one to deny herself something she craved).
“What’s your usual go-to?” Scar settled her expecting gaze paired with the brightest of smiles on a randomly picked person before adding for a dramatic effect. “Make it something good, por favor!”

Her family was very strict with her even when she was a child and though they weren't rich, they had high expectations for her future.
She originally was an artist, sketching people at Central Park sometimes when she would skip school. Soon, her sketches slowly morphed into clothing designs.
After going to summer school and attempting to be a better student in high-school, Marcy ended up trying to get into NYU so she could pursue a career in fashion.
NYU rejected her application, but Marcy Fieldstein wasn't a quitter. She was determined to get into NYU and so she ended up having a fashion show of her own in Central Park in order to be noticed... and it definitely worked.
Quite a few future customers had seen the impromptu show and they loved it. They got in contact with her and wanted to buy the clothes she had made. Marcy made a lot of money that day... and NYU took notice.
After seeing her true potential, NYU wanted her as their student... but Marcy declined. She didn't need them to make it in the fashion industry, she would do it herself.
She got famous from being a great fashion designer and ended up becoming rich as well. She put a good bit of celebrities in her clothes as well back in the 80s.
In the late 80s is when her rivalry with another huge name in the industry started and its been a very bitter feud between two great designers ever since. Sometimes on the down-low they'll help each other but then they'll go right back at feuding with each other. The press loves to cover their bitter battle with each other.
Their rivalry started with a runway collection... a collection that was way too similar to the other. Accusations of copying started then the insults started flying and from there the rivalry started. The rivalry really heated up in the 90s on the runway.
Marcy ended up meeting her husband in 1995 at a party. She fell in love with him hard and eventually the both of them got married at a huge and expensive Jewish wedding in Manhattan, New York.
They honeymooned in Niagara Falls before heading to a romantic getaway in The Poconos. Not too long afterwards, Marcy got pregnant with their daughter.
Marcy returned to her work after she gave birth and made a collection inspired by the Niagara Falls.
She was already traveling around the world due to her work but 10 years ago her need for inspiration for her designs brought her to Elmerton, Florida.
Marcy has found that being in Elmerton has been a treasure trove of inspiration, especially upon seeing tourists and their fashion in town. Because of this, Marcy has stayed in Elmerton with her husband though sometimes she'll leave town to go to big fashion events once in a while, but she always comes back to Elmerton.
Marcy loves her husband, but because she works really hard, her immense focus on work will sometimes be the catalyst of some of the arguments she gets into with him.
She adores her daughter and would love to see her follow in her footsteps in terms of a career choice.
Marcy can be a bit of a "ball-buster" in the fashion industry. She can be demanding, cutthroat, no nonsense, loud, vulgar, impatient and a perfectionist. She has had many assistants throughout her years as a fashion designer because not everyone who works for her can handle her tough demeanor. She simply wants to make the best clothes she possibly can and she tends to do just that by being a tough woman in the industry.
Usually, Marcy is determined, caring, she's been known to dote on her loved ones a lot, wise, always willing to give to others if they need it, she can be fun-loving and humorous at times as well as fiery and tenacious.
Marcy wasn't happy to say the least upon finding out her rival was in Elmerton as well... in fact, she was enraged after she found out and now she's ready to continue their feud but with different scenery instead of the famous cities that famous people like Marcy and her rival are used to.
