But the Pwhpa has never been a very coherent labor movement and there was many reasons for people not to trust it and now they’re taking the foundation of a league they insulted over and over and want to get the flashy contracts they saw other players getting, buying them out whole claiming it’s a feminist message for the good of the sport, leaving all the overseas girls without a contract after they obtained visas, many people within the org without jobs. How am I supposed to believe that’s pro labor? The girls who grew up in affluent families and got national team money got to sit out for years with little to no money playing showcases because they had security on the national team and make everyone else do the hard work of building the infrastructure they kept saying they’d do better themselves and then just. Didn’t. And fucked over a bunch of their fellow workers. And had the nerves to call the phf girls scabs back in 2019-2020
