derailing conversations on biphobia and its effects

excluding bisexuals from mlm and wlw spaces/discussions

speaking over bisexuals in conversations on the issues we face

refusing to listen to bisexuals if we say something is biphobic

ignoring bisexual history and activism

ignoring the present contributions of bisexuals to LGBTQ culture

making demeaning jokes about bisexuals or jokes that rely on negative stereotypes

stereotyping bisexuals in general

viewing bisexuals as 'half-straight'/'lesser' members of the LGBTQ community

and finally, speaking over bisexuals about the very definition of bisexuality

ok so i've recently gotten into happy tree friends and oh my g od i love it!!! idk what happened but one day i was just like "y'know what? i think imma watch the show i've feared for most of my childhood" and BOOM i find out that i actually really like it, +i just love cartoon gore/violence in general so its pretty fun to watch.

anyways, i posted these to my IG first and then i realized this cobweb of an account was pretty much dead so i decided i should revive it by posting my art here (totally not bc my impatience ass wants my art to get more attention haha/s)

I mean listen, I’m in my 30s. These labels don’t mean a lot to me anymore. Like, literally everything is normal. Everything is fine so long as nobody’s feelings are being hurt. Don’t worry about some label that used to be useful maybe not being useful anymore. Thank it for its service and let it retire. Maybe one day it will be useful again. That doesn’t change anything about you, because you are, and always have been, a complex, multifaceted, constantly changing kaleidoscope of emotional and sexual needs, and “asexual” is just a word that helped you make sense of it for a while.

Like, y’all, give yourselves a break. Sex is complicated. Some people are straight their whole lives, and then they meet one person who changes everything. Some people are one thing for a while, then they’re another thing, then they go back to being the first thing. Some people stay one thing forever. Some people are really into something in their 20s that grosses them out to even think about for the rest of their lives. All if it’s normal.

The words you put on your orientation are not elementally a part of you. They are tools, and as tools they should serve a function. That function can be to help you understand and categorize your own experiences and desires. It can be to help you find a community. It can be to help you get laid. It can just be to set social expectations. These words can be a revelation when you first apply them to yourself: they can be life-saving. But you are not beholden to them. 

Worshippers trapped inside Al-Aqsa are now being subjected to explosives, gas, stun grenades, and bullets. This video shows heavily armed soldiers throwing grenades, point blank, into a group of women and children trapped inside.

Women and children are being targeted, specifically.

Palestinians are being run down on the street in broad daylight. I chose to share screenshots instead of the video because it was too violent. Police and Military are protecting and endorsing this.

This woman was arrested after she fainted from exhaustion watching over her own home and trying to protect it. Then they arrested her entire family, too. Another woman was arrested for intervening and attempting to stop a soldier from kicking a little girl.

In further retaliation from the government, airstrikes in Gaza. The Arabic captions mention that women and children were the victims, among 9 others martyred.

These aren't "clashes" between two equal parties. This is a targeted campaign of violence and ethnic cleansing by an apartheid government funded by the USA and enabled by cowardly countries in the Middle East who have decided to turn a blind eye. If you pay taxes in the USA - know that over three billion dollars a year get sent in aid, which is used to fund this terrorism.

Media organizations only continue the colonialism by whitewashing the rhetoric and blocking hashtags and silencing voices.

One of our holiest sites is being desecrated in the holiest days of the year. The blood of the innocent is being shed. Children have been slaughtered, homes taken, bombs dropped, sexual violence runs rampant, and the western world continues to look the other way.

Yes, you CAN help!!!!!

Ways to help:

Boost voices and factual information - censoring is actively taking place at the moment. Share information, take screenshots, and screen recordings so that when things are taken down or blocked from view, you still have them.

Harrass your government officials, locally and at the highest level - if you have the privilege of living somewhere where you have a voice in your government, a vote, or a way to contact anyone who speaks for you in your government - USE IT.

Attend and organize protests if able

Follow the people reporting from the ground, the people who are going live and sharing the reality (Mohammad ElKurd, Alaa Salaymeh, Jewish Voice for Peace, etc)

Beware how the news is reporting things. Already I'm seeing some really terrible takes from right wing news sites choosing to focus on the wrong thing or play the blame game. Beware of attempts to divert your attention or attempts to justify violence.

Beware movements or informational sources that incorporate islamophobia, anti-Semitism, racism, or blatant hate into their practice and attempts at social justice.

Just so we are aware - there is nowhere for Palestinians in Gaza to go. Israel maintains an air and sea blockade (this blockade has been in place since 2007 and has stopped all trade in and out of the region, essentially starving the population and crippling the economy), and controls the checkpoints. They can't leave, they're trapped without utilities, food, and access to medical care with nowhere safe to go.

They are dropping white phosphorous bombs on one of the most densely populated areas on earth, and there's nowhere to run. White phosphorous is highly corrosive and toxic - it's use is a violation of international law and a war crime.
