the thing that's so utterly enthralling about kim kitsuragi is that he's so in control of himself. he's built himself so carefully, he has such infallible discipline, control, and composure, and the kind of tragic thing is that he uses this insanely honed ability to try to make himself blend in. every peek we get at under that shield feels so much sweeter than it would if it was readily available or unconcealed.
i have a notes app document literally just for every single factoid about kim because he's just so fucking interesting behind the carefully curated image of him as a conservative, normal, disciplined police officer.
and harry is the one who gets to peel back the mask a little by being so ridiculous and pathetic, but so genuine that it compels him to open up, little by little
