Schnazzy Lifting

Okay so I went on vacation recently and here is what I can share!

1. It’s very easy to lift drinks, snacks, and small trinkets (even clothing in some stores!) in the parks. They are all very busy and some have multiple rooms with multiple cash stands. Simply pick up your drink in one area (preferably when SAs aren’t looking) and walk to another area. Have a few good glugs. Congratulations, it’s yours, and so far as anyone knows you’ve had it since you came in or already paid for it. Leave. Clothes/souvenier/candy concealing is easy too! Just roll or fold it up in a secluded area of a store, put it in your bag, and leave.

2.The only items consistently tagged are some clothing (esp. Star wars), purses, and ALL hats in the animal kingdom park. I couldn’t find a single one untagged. They’re all ink tags too.

3. It’s possible to sneak into the m@gic k!ngdom at night! We thought we had park hopper passes (we didn’t, as it turns out, it was disappointing). We went up to the entrance and were turned away, so we got in line for the monorail to leave. I realized then that once in line for the monorail, the only thing separating me from the park was a single rope! I saw some kids go over it to get back into the park and figured they left something or were going back for someone… And I realized that if I slipped in that way, people would probably assume the same about us. So we hopped the rope and we were in! Again, this is only possible from the monorail line, and only at night when TONS of people are trying to leave and there is a lot of confusion. Once inside, it was great! We had magic bands, so as far as everyone knew we were there legitimately. We even found an unmanned concession cart (it was unlocked! They all seemed to be!) And grabbed ourselves a free frozen lemonade.

4. My new and super strong magnet (the equivalent of a 15,000 gs golf, by my guess) DID NOT WORK AT ALL at the @nthr0 store at d!sn3y Spr!ng$. But it worked fine at fr33 p30ple there!

Preferably without doing the shoe switch thing bc I don’t have any crappy shoes that I’m willing to get rid of.

So I’ve been receiving lots of questions regarding lifting from new lifters-both on Tumblr and in real life. So I’ve compiled a list of tips for new lifters. This is the first of two posts regarding new lifters so stay tuned for my second post! Please remember that these are in no particular order and do not apply to all stores.

-Double check! I cannot stress this enough because I’ve seen people firsthand who have gotten caught because they didn’t double check for security tags. Some items are double tagged! Some stores put sensors inside the cardboard tags on clothes so watch out for these. Check in discreet places because stores know that shoplifters aren’t going to check in certain spots on an item. -Come equipped! This one may seem obvious but I have seen people ask questions like “What’s a magnet and how does it work?” Please remember that we were all new once. So for super new lifters who don’t know, powerful magnets can detach some types of tags, like the ones on clothing. Some require hooks. You can search for posts on which tags require which tools but I don’t have information on that right now, nor do I have a specific link to videos regarding how to detach tags. Sorry! -Find a blindspot! And make sure it’s actually a blindspot. Check for hidden cameras and things like mirrors that are meant to deter shoplifters. And never conceal in front of an employee. -Variety is key! I’ve seen so many people take ten Naked palettes in one go and this is how employees will come to suspect you. -Don’t be greedy! This is a tough one. We all want lots of things but you have to remember that it’s better to have less than to get caught. So take things in small quantities until you’ve become more advanced. -Start small! If you’re super new to lifting, I wouldn’t advise you to do a big haul from a high-security store on your first go. Steal small items that are easy to conceal, like makeup or candy bars. -Learn about the stores you’re lifting from! Learn everything-their shoplifting policies, their security cameras, the types of tags they use. You can find this information online or you can visit a store before you lift from it. You can even scout it out to find blind spots. -Find a lifting friend! Oh my gosh, I cannot tell you how helpful this is. They can help you conceal, stand between you and cameras or employees, and cover for you with basically anything. And besides, it’s so much more fun!

• I’ve been told that the police and fire departments could use towels, clothes, socks and other basic clothing items. Shelters are currently accepting toys for children, feminine hygiene products, razors, contact solution, soap & body wash, toothpaste, shampoo & conditioner etc etc

• clothes aren’t needed as of right now because SO MANY generous people donated what they had.
