Hey Everybody! Sorry for intruding the tags with something not Petsite related (but hey pet related!), but I KNOW some of you will love this: Niche just launched it’s kickstarter, it is a genetics survival PC/Mac game where you can breed your own species of animals! It is based on real genetics and already the demo build offers a great variety of body parts which all have different functions in the game. (I was able to test the newest version of the game and I LOVE IT!) We are really really happy, and working hard on the third stretchgoal!

So if any of you know me personally, you know i am weak for 3 critters: birbs, sloths, and elephants. And I am Not Good at traditional video games, but I do love a good puzzler with unique graphics and a cooperation-and-compassion theme.

So if there was a game, right, where you were a Magical Birb, and you could save creatures that included elephants through the power of friendship, weather and cooperation, you would understand my excitement, correct?

BOOM. Meet Quench. You are that magical crane dude, and you have weather magic to help all these guys.

Here’s the good news, ‘Merican Elephant Enthusiasts: they’re in CANADA. This means your red-white-n-blue dollar goes farther, and you can secure a digital copy of the game for $12 tiny lil fuckin dollars. BUT ONLY IF THEY MEET THEIR KICKSTARTER GOAL

Quench is a story-driven puzzle game set in a colourful, lo-fi world. You play as Shepherd, an avatar of nature, and you have the power to control the weather to guide herds of animals on a perilous journey.

You must protect your flock, tend the land, and unravel the mystery of the strange smokebeasts that have invaded the land.

Using your divine powers over the weather, you will provide for your herds, help them as they take up their great pilgrimage, and ultimately restore the world.

Quench, a beautiful and unique game by Axon Interactive is up on Kickstarter! Axon have been using Hexels as a fundamental part of their pipeline. We’ve enjoyed watching their progress flourish over the last year and had the opportunity to play a demo at GDC 2016 in San Francisco and cannot wait to play the full version.
