What better way to practise lettering than to write Bible verses! Thankful for #seekgodletteringchallenge that accompanied me through the busy August. Also loved seeing the beautiful works of other Instagramers on this challenge. Thankful for those who post devotionals or reflections along with their lettering, which are so much more meaningful! I really appreciated @letteringunderhiswings ‘s posts which are so contemplative. The last day’s reflection on ask < seek < knock was particularly enlightening! Today as Iza was playing with the letters of his name, a thought suddenly came to me - A and Z; beginning and end. “I am the beginning and the end.” God is reminding me of who He is and that He’s on the throne. Cleaning out my wardrobe is like taking a walk down memory lane. I can still remember the memories attached to each piece - best friends’ weddings, vacation, photoshoot... I can also remember why I bought some pieces - weight gain, weight loss, new job scope... Feeling sad to let go of these as I will no longer have something tangible to jog the memories again. (Is it just me who feels this way?) But I also don’t want to be a hoarder, especially not of clothes that I can’t wear anymore 😔 And yes I must stop retail therapy! Contributing too much waste! [08.01.19] It’s been a week since this miracle came into the world and I’ve never quite been so overwhelmed before. Not just overwhelmed like any first time mothers would be, but overwhelmed by God’s goodness and how He’s blessed us through friends and family. Thankful for all the encouragement, care, support, advice, practical help, time, gifts, wishes and most importantly, prayers. You have no idea how many times these brought me to tears (emo much). A roller coaster of a journey but one filled with stories to tell of God’s faithfulness and love. And the stories will keep coming. Just when I thought I could for once bring home a completed piece today, the teacher called on one classmate and said, “You haven’t completed.
