Nan ‘Wore Fake Beard So She Could Sneak Into Grandchild’s School To Give Him Sweets’

A grandmother has been arrested after she allegedly wore a fake beard to sneak into her grandson’s school so she could shower him with gifts.

Police say Gloria Laniece Bryan donned the fake face fuzz and snuck into the City High school in Council Bluffs, Iowa, with a walking frame while she pretended to be an elderly man.

There the 66-year-old managed to find her way to the school cafeteria and spotted her grandson having lunch.

She is then said to have given him sweets and a toy before staff spotted her and she made a hasty exit.

It is believed the boy’s parents had fallen out with Bryan and they did not want any contact between the pair.

When police caught up with her she told them she was “desperate to see him”.

The boy’s mother fears Bryan will abduct her grandson and she has been charged with third-degree harassment and trespassing.
