oh cool to hear you read The Employees! I thought it was very cool in its construction and the sort of general weirdness/off-puttingness. what made you pick it up?

it was a recommendation to me so nothing in particular on my part (apart from trusting the taste of the recommender) and yeah i really liked it too! the construction put me a little in mind of how some podcasts deal with the limitations of audio format and in this case it definitely contributed to the story and i felt helped to tell it in a more interesting way than a more traditional novel format

read a really interesting book about the history of the basque country before i started and today passed by a fronton for the first time and had a very silly ‘omg pelota… from my Basque History Of The World…’ moment
