Vampires can be born or created. They are born from other vampires which is rare as vampires are often solitary creatures

Vampires can be made by another vampire willingly giving blood to a human who is close to death.

During the vampire transformation it feels as if their whole body is breaking and dying. Their head stops beating and their lungs stop inflating. It is painful and traumatic

Once turned a human will recover any injuries that they had before they were turned though their hard and nails stop growing

Vampires have heightened senses compared to humans similar to that of dogs but with the same visual cones as humans

They are stronger and faster than the average human and faster closer to that of athletes but not wholly supernatural

Sunlight can weaken a vampire but does not kill them, sunlight brings them closer to the physical power of humans possibly even a bit weaker than the average human

Vampires are fundamentally immortal with disease and age not affecting them however to kill one you must behead them

Their fangs are hidden within their gums and are retractable with older vampires being able to control them but newer ones may struggle to control when they come down into sight

Vampires use their teeth to puncture holes and then suck the wound. Fangs are 2cm long making it easy to puncture through to major arteries.

They can drink blood from anywhere in the body but neck is often easily accessible and had sweeter blood due to being closer to the heart

If a vampire no longer drinks blood, they begin to starve. During starvation they begin to change. They lose control over their fangs and slowly their body. As they starve longer their bodies become less humanoid arms lengthen mouth hangs open with little control over the jaw. They lose their mental stability, becoming deranged with hunger. The longer they starve the more blood they would need to recover

If they starve for centuries. Their form will likely never recover and they will remain a creature until they are killed
