Mother Knows Best

    You would have been enough. Knowing that her mother’s heart was back in its place was the only thing that kept the former “insolent” daughter hopeful. Things were finally going well between the two of them and she wasn’t going to let Greenie ruin that—especially if there was a chance that the three of them could be a family. She just had to keep Zelena away from their mother, so that she could help Zelena with that on her own. No one knew better than her that their mother was not exactly a considerate wordsmith. 

“Hello, Mother.”

    Cora was alive. Their mother was alive and Regina should have known better than to tell Zelena everything about their mother, but most of all, she shouldn’t have told her about Cora raising her without her heart. Now Zelena had a new scapegoat, she had another target other than Regina. Of course knowing that their mother cared in the end wouldn’t be won’t Zelena would hold onto. She was always blinded by that horrid skin condition, that creeping jealousy that seeped through her ever being. And although Regina was somewhat grateful of that Zelena was going to lay off on torturing her for now, she knew it wasn’t fair to push that all on their mother, even if part of her thought she deserved it.
