i’m not worried about being selfish like i lived my life for everyone else and by everyone else’s rules and lost myself for the sake of others. just not really interested in living like that anymore because it’s a longer life than you think and spending it a stranger to myself sounds awful. i’d rather be selfishly devoted to myself while still treating people in my life with kindness, respect, and compassion. i don’t mind if that devotion to myself comes across as selfish because if you waver in it even a little, people will eat you alive and lick the bones clean.

um guys, I think we need to stop waiting for ‘the right time’ and just start doing the things we want whenever because the right time’s never gonna come, and if we keep waiting it’s just gonna turn into an endless cycle
