Its so hard to match freaks with anyone especially if youre lohen.
But whats this? You, the new girl, bright and enigmatic has joined the KoF and already the whispers among the knights who think that this woman is the pennicle of bravery and absolute sainthood spread like how fire spread across by gasoline.
Though Lohen never likes that pissy kind of people. You were just a gender bend of the grandmaster.
However it changed the day you found him slumped over a tree somewhere in the wilderness of wolvendom while scratches from those rabid abyss dogs were prominent from his currently barren arms as he decided to take his long gloves off.
You rushed forward to him and quickly fretted over him âoh my! Youre hurtâ you said to him in surprise before pulling out an elixir to pour it onto his wounds. âThis will hurt but youâll be fineâ you smiled assuringly to him before dumping what seemed to smell like alcohol but more stronger.
That was your first encounter with each other.
But as ordinary the encounter was at hindsight, he found it strange that you were there.
And why you exactly had that vial of cure. He knows it, in fact he remembers it like a vice as he used that exact stinging potion when he knows the poison could kill him.
It wasnât a potion exactly bought so easily either. You have to seek the ingredients and make it with absolute perfection.
Even then you werenât exactly stationed there as you were stationed at dorman port for the most part.
And perhaps thats why he followed you here, exactly in the depths of dragonspine where durinâs heart still palpitates from the abyssal corrosion that the ley lines exhibits in the mountain.
You were sneaking around the cave as the fatui guards finished their shifts finally and was swapping with the newly rested batch of fatui guards.
âAbyssal corrosion⊠levels are higher compared to abyss mages and rifthounds, slightly lower to the grounds of nod kraiâ he heard you mutter all of these while in your hand was a syringe that was filled of the corrupted blood of the dragon.
He didnât dare move from his hiding place that was out of your sight as you gave a chilling smile to yourself before stabbing your smooth skin with the undeniably long and thick needle that could hit your bone if you dare wrongfully pierce your shoulders or thighs.
You let out a breathe of exhilaration, beads of sweat forming on both sides of your forehead despite the dropping temperatures of the cave.
Your breath staggering from the contractions that the pain from the abyssal corruption that was slowly spreading to your veins.
Its like a hidden trove of treasures that should never be revealed to pirates or in this case to people like you or him.
It was the first time hes ever seen you smile so blissfully, so prettily and still.
Personally everyone in the knights of favonius was a coward
But nowâŠ
He might just found someone who he can get along with
Okay maybe the worst thing that could happen wasnât what Senku thought.
Nott the phenomena of humans becoming stone.
Not the fact that he keeps seeing the ass crack of an old geezer at the mention of innovation.
Not when he got stabbed by Tsukasa.
It was the fact that even after winning over the kingdom of the new stone age, he still couldnât find one person.
And he had Taiju and Magma surging through the waters like theyre dolphins of the new world. Though it was genuinely because they had an insane amount of stamina and endurance.
âAre you sure sheâs not already revived somewhere?â
Gen asked him, the mentalist, though an opportunist for his own personal gain, was worried for the leek haired dude.
Senku lost sleep. And by losing sleep, i mean he has eyebags that could be longer than a sausage.
âShe would have noticed the campfires and mingled with the people if she was. Her survival instincts are strongâ
But he was wrong.
She wasnât encased in stone
Nor was she even mingled amongst the revived without detection.
Im gonna write a dark oneshot (maybe) about evil harb reader and dottore will be innocent on this ine lol. Also she a simp for the tsaritsa (hope the tsaritsa has a good design tho)
kiss your screen every time you see a typo or grammatical error in my fics because it means it's home grown and not some ai bullshit and im dead serious about this

No its not, its the fact that the girl of Senkuâs dreams had confessed and its the worst timing of all time.
The skies are oddly green, the two couples (guess who) outside who confessed turned into stone. You, who turned into stone, shouting you liked him across the hallway and now his vision fully turned off into the void.
117,354,893,870 seconds later
He finally woke up, how? Through the sheer power of will probably. All he seen was a dense forest instead of the school he remembered and no sight of you who was just a few meters away when he last saw you.

I remember my earliest tv show that I watched and i still feel the warmth that it gave me. I wanted to be like them, like her, saving the world and fighting for love was someone I longed to be.
What tv show would that be? Well it was sailor moon.
Then it became mermaid melody, doki doki, sugar sugar rune..
Then it became my inspiration, that maybe someday id be able to wear pretty dresses
That id be able to find someone to love like the protagonist do
But mostly, that I would be able to help people someday like them
Someday, I'll be like them too.
That id be a hero.
The day I waited for that sweet moment of my quirk manifested, it never came.
I was left with nothing but a hopeless dream, one that I would never be able to reach.
Maybe it's my parents who loved me so much and protected me, sheltered me, or maybe it's from the blunt shock and trauma that I abandoned everything about the dream that shattered my heart.
My life moved on because the world would still rotate the earth without me, I have to let go of the dream and settle for what I considered less. I will never reach for the star that glistened so brightly on the night sky for it is the farthest away from me.
So despite the hard slap on the face, I instead wanted to become a hairstylist. I worked for the oldest salon in our city and yet I can't help but feel empty.
But then that all changed when an accident happened. An accident that would ignite those hopeless dreams. To start it all over again and grasp the once so far star thats now the closest to me.
A normal and simple girl with an average life and a averagely good academic background. She is comparable to something called a 'boring person' that has a massive sweet tooth
That girl's name is Y/n, a girl who was powerless and weak ever since her quirk scan deemed her quirkless, found a new power through a series of unexpected events.
One of that is a flying and talking cat that helped her achieved 'Stellaris Pulvis'. Just what is this power exactly? What lengths do our MC will have to go through to achieve her dreams of becoming a magical girl in a world gull of heroes? And does her struggles becomes her reasoning to become a monster or will it further strengthen her resilience to become like the girls she sees in tv, fighting to protect her planet and her love.

No Senkuâs povs, all impromptu by me, summarization at its finest, and proofreads, we die like Ethel cain.
Disclaimer: This is probably 2 chapters worth of your time.
Being inlove was hard in general.
But with the scientist who regarded love as a form of hindrance is a whole new different level to survive on.
And yet Y/n still offered herself to him in a pretty silver platter where he disregarded it, calling her love too unnecessary. Too bothersome.
âIts just bunch of hormones like dopamine, oxytocin and serotonin to make such emotions., it would soon fadeâ He would say while she gives him all. From her time, dedication, money and energy but he keeps on shrugging the girl off.
âI promise to make your time worthwhile!â Y/n said, head down, offering the homemade cookies that was tailored to his taste. Not too sweet but not too bitter. As if she memorized him just through the longing glance she gives him across the labratory.
âIf you want to then go do your labworkâ he said, not even glancing towards the girl.
And the whispers on the hallway were so loud, it was practically yelling at both of her ears âthats the vice president in the science club, heard shes down bad for that mad scientistâ
âI feel bad for her lowkeyâ
âYeah, he looks like the type not to love romanticallyâ
But instead Y/n kept following her heart blindly, reaching for the unreachable star that was Senku who kept on going further from her reach.
âI dont even know why i love him..â
Then the incident happened.
Y/n was sitting on the corner of the laboratory, doing her own experiment and giving her gazes at the window sill as Senku peered down at the ground to watch his best friend confess to Yuzuriha.
It was like looking at a microscope, studying each and every single movement of an organism naked to the human eye. Her gaze was stuck on him, watching the small pieces of hair sway along with the wind and his ruby eyes lightened by the sun.
Hes perfect
Even when he was illuminated in green
Even if he keeps on rejecting her over and over again, she would keep her eyes on him.
Even when he was stone
And even if she became a statue like him as well.
Her eyes are stuck to him.
And even then, she still feels the gnaw of a thousand caterpillars in her stomach.
Time drags on
Your eyes opened for the first time after 3,699 something years. You counted it as soon as you could, too afraid of forgetting, too afraid of loosing him like the pictures of an old album slowly losing their color. Your eyes opened and stare directly into the sun, burning it as your sorrow were only amplified.
During those years trapped in its own darkness, you thought you would find a closure, a way to forget how he made you feel. But unlike the man told you, it never faded but only intensified.
I hate him for the time heâs gone.
And worse enough, the stone recorded you at its rawest form, staring through where he was with the endless pit of yearning forever installed in your gaze. The sunâmerciless and cruelâ didnât spare you from sweating under the rock incasing as you carefully shrug it off your body.
You tried to find him, you tried to find his body and there he was but instead of seeing the usual prideful smirk she loves, it was only met with a man incased in stone, lying motionlessly in the ground and forever stuck in time. His clothes had long departed the earth, not even its ashes remained.
Crawling to his side, You wordlessly took off the vines that almost swallowed the statue. Even when your hands were scarred by some of the tiny pieces of wood, you still let your fingers be bloody just to clean and free the constrains of the statue.
You didnât even realized it but droplets fell off your cheek as you stiffle a sniff. The emotions in you surged out like the huge floods that hit over the years and it was coming down at you hard.
âAm i the only one alive right nowâŠâ
You muttered, feeling disarray as you lay on the ground with his stone statue.
Iâve been here for weeks
Weeks passed by, turning to months as you finally came around to find mutton and edible food, along with fire but even then, you somehow managed to go back to his side every night. Talking to him as though he could hear your ramblings about the mundanity of it all even when you came back after days of searching for something.
âYou know, i found the most interesting part in this world, the fact that bronze buddha still stood in Hakone is surprisingâ
âDont worry Senku, ill find a way to wake you up and i know youâll make a solutionâ
That never fulfilled the void to hear his voice, not even when you memorized the pitches of his voice.
But alas your mundane and repetitive routine was disrupted when you found yourself running away from a pack of lions during your 3rd day in the wild.
âNo! Get away from me!â You screamed, your voice cracking as your throat was painfully scratched. Was this the end? You didnât even get to understand how you woke up. You never found out how to wake him up.
So you ran.
Faster than ever before.
Even when your throat is becoming to be constricted, unable to breathe and inches from passing out but your instincts and the released adrenaline rush made you continue, pushing your body to its limit.
You didnât even scream as you fell through the cliff, the trees breaking your fallâs severity. By this point you were past Hakone. But even when the lions stopped tracking you there were still barriers for you.
âStop right there!â A voice said, their spears pointing near your eyes as you held your already slowing breath.
For the first time, there was civilization.
âI-iâ your voice was raspy from the screaming while you try to catch your breath âI mean no harmâ you muttered as you tried to plea. Tears unknowingly welling in your eyes as you feel a sense of relief in hearing human voices after those painfully silent months you spent on the wild.
Their spears, primitive to the bone, were still pointed at you. âI promise you, ill even drop my weaponry if i mustâ you said, it was too complacentâ too desperate.
âYou arenât allowed to enter the village! Rules are rulesâ a man with brown hair said, his eyes were emerald green as he looked at you like the professor in advances calculus would.
You could only nod.
Iâve been here for years
It wasnât long that you gather all the villages trust, especially when you helped the people find more food resource when it became scarce, hunting in the wild with Kohaku and soon became the designated medic of the village.
âThis is a chinese herb formula, Banxia Houpo Tang and Ding Chuan Tang, it can help the throat discomfort that Ruri is feeling. Though i will have to say to use this as exactly as how I prescribed you toâ you said to Kokuyo. It took a long painful time to get him to trust you but it was worth it, he gave you a home inside the village after desperately seeking you to help his daughter from her sickness. Good thing you used to listen to those tv channels about how different cultures create things to better their society.
âI will try to go to your home to remind you though, not to worry about thatâ you muttered. It was beginning to become a long and habitual routine for you but you were glad to not live on outskirts of the village anymore.
âThank you Y/n, her sickness has been far better since you cameâ he said. You could only nod and give a polite smile.
But as soon as he was far from your home, you collapsed to the ground.
It was long since you left the villageâs territory, long enough for his face to start being distorted in the contents of your mind. Maybe it was a sign you were moving on but everytime you remembered the memories of the past, it still comes back to you.
It makes you wonder, is he awake now?
But unlike before, there was something else that stirred inside when you think of the man. It was hurt and somewhat regret in loving him.
Carrying this sense of looming uncertainty inside you was beginning to gnaw at you. And you couldnât help but wonder what would happen if you see him again.
And as if the heavens has heard you after hearing your endless cries and begging, you saw him again. He was still him. From his unfaltering determination to the almost cocky grin he always have.
He was there, blowing bubbles, impressing the primitive guards of the village who looked undeniably disturbed. He looked like a jester instead of a scientistâ an undeniably good looking and smart jester
But you couldnât fathom to let him see you. No, not yet.
Not when the feelings inside you eats part of you away even after years of separation.
Even when the kingdom of science was finally rising out of the outskirts of the village, you refused to get out of your house, turning into a hermit like person as you refused to be seen by the scientist.
It made you want to ask
Did he ever think about you?
Still it didnât took long till he saw you. Well particularly it was during the grand bout. You were by Ruriâs side, assisting her with standing up to walk away from the guy after she begans excessively coughing.
Ruri and Kohaku, they were like sisters you never had.
Your eyes connected, brief but filled with emotions, one that differs from the other in varying levels. âY/n?â This, this was a variable he never calculated in his equations. You were the unexpected number in a formula he has been fretting for over a year.
Ive been here too long..
But instead of the usual scenario where you would answer him, you instead left him to his own accords. Ruri needs you more than he does right now. You helped Ruri to go up the stairs âits time for you to take your medicineâ you said, your voice becoming quieter from the distance you gave.
It was foreign to both you and him.
And here you were with Ruri who was sitting down, contemplating as you hold the wooden bowl made by Kaseki. âI know him Y/nâ she started, your ears perked up in genuine curiosity.
âReally? He doesnât look like hes from hereâ you feigned in your familiarity with the scientist. It was better this way.
âYeah, heâs from the 100 stories my mother told mââ she started coughing in a fitting rage. The mucus threatening to come out of her mouth as her throat was swollen from the intense fit.
âLet it out, let it all outâ you rubbed your hand over her back, rubbing circles as you look at her, your eyes holding too much emotion for you to hide.
âIâ will i ever get cured?â She asked you, tears almost threatening to get out of her eyes.
âI know you willâ I know he will find a way
âââââââââ
It took a long time but there was never a dull moment in the game, your eyes were focused on the battle field as Kinro finally passed. It was disappointing yes but alas, it was still a good show.
You were glued to Ruriâs side, ready to fret over her the moment a predicament arises.
âYou know, youâre staring at himâ A voice said from beside you, chuckling as you faced the blonde priestess.
Quickly, you put a mask over your longing âoh-me? Im just curiousâ you smiled at her âi mean it isnât that often that an outsider is able to come in hereâ
Even when you see him doing his mental calculation gimmick, even when you could see the famous mentalist look at you with a smirk that gave you a small heart with his finger did that mask fell after Ruri called you out.
But what snapped the heartstrings that held on to you so tightly was the announcement âSenku won!â It was a surprise and it made your eyes twitch. You werenât supposed to feel the ugly feeling of jealousy- no not when its your friend Ruri. Not when you know he could never love anyone romantically because he deems it useless.
âBring me the alcohol!â
But here you were, hands clenched to the side of the drapes of your clothing.
âAnd bring me the medic!â He gave a smirk that could only be called as a jerk like move. Even though unwilling, you strode up to his side, your eyes fixated on his. He could see it boiling with envy as well as the reddening lips from the biting.
He grab into your arms, it was that good looking side profile once more. The one where you stared at for a long time that somewhere maybe the cracks from petrification was him at your back.
He began to tug you out of the village before a bunch of alcohol loving men made a baracade âhey! Whats the rush, this is a time for celebrationâ they slurred as they held high the huge mugs filled to brim with wine.
âFine then, I want a divorceâ
You shouldnât be shaking with joy- no you should be sad, furious even for Ruri but no, a smile was begging to form on your lips as he was still the same for all those years ago.
It didnât took long before he took off, with his hands tightly held into yours and Kaseki âKukukukuku, we got a huge batch of alcohol and vinegars! Back to our kingdom, my citizens of science!â He maniacally and almost gorilla like laughed as the people of the village had their mouths wide open to the ground. He was too unpredictable.
âSince when did I and Young Y/n became a part of this!â The old man yelled as he was practically flying because of his short stature.
And i forgot what stop means
âSo this is where you wereâ the scientist said, you were on the lab alone with him as you sat down on the ground, unable to meet his eyes.
All the shenanigans after waking chrome up were finally finished, in fact you two were just waiting for the man to come to the lab but you couldnât help hut say that your current predicament was⊠well..
It was fucking awkward.
And hard to ignore him. Not when his hand held your chin up to make you look at him.
You even forcefully closed your eyes to avoid looking at him, if you did, you would probably tear up again. But even when you did, you could see the outline of his being, you could feel how his eyes are scanning you up and down like you were an observable experiment.
âYou changedâ he said, almost as if he doesnât believe it.
âYou didnâtâ you answered back before biting your tongue.
âHah, after all those years, this is your first words to me huhâ he chuckled, not even slightly angry at how you responded to him. âI suppose i should say thank youâ he said, his tone was gentle and it was enough to make you squirm on his hold
You wanted to open your eyes and bask at the touch but you knew if you did, the yearning would be too evident. He would know the feelings you had were still burning vibrantly and never left.
âYou made my discovery of the cure far easierâ He said, you couldnât help but peak at him. And there it was, just like you thought, his ruby red eyes were staring directly at yours but with gentleness that youâve never seen before.
âI did?â He nodded, he was too close to you. If he got any closer, maybe he would hear how your heart is pumping rapidly or how your body temperature rising as your blood surge faster than ever.
But before you could even say the baggage you carry, he asked you something that made your stomach drop âNow im going to question you, just what medicines did you made Ruri drinkâ and just like that, he was back to his old ways again.
âI..uh..it was just Banxia Houpo Tang and Ding Chuan Tang, itâs ingredients are accessible in this part of japanâ you muttered, all the feelings that rushed through your body was slowly going away.
âI see, i seeâ
Either i drink it or the boat sinks
Like a bitter medicine, the only thing you could do is to drink it while pinching your nose to force yourself to keep yourself afloat even when its the subtle side glances you give at the scientist beside you.
It didnât help that he knows you were well capable with doing lab work like him, making you a participant in making the sulfa drug with Chrome, a villager who was known for his âsorceryâ
But when the morning came, after all the hard work and a few messed up experiments, the sulfa drug was perfect.
Gen let out a loud screech as she saw what a murder scene would look like as all you three laid scattered in different parts of the lab with you being the farthest away from Senku.
âWhat happened here!!â
âToo much of this and thatâ you surmised to her in a tired voice. There were debris on your hair, it was from the explosion last night. Apparently dripping too much Acetic anhydride into aniline can be explosive.
âAugh, im gonna take a bathâ you stood up, making eye contact with the mentalist who gave you a knowing smirk. It was as if he knew something about you that you didnât even know and it was bothering you.
ââ
It didnt take long before they went to the village. You werenât there in the first place, busy with taking a bath in the hot spring that you knew was safe away from the prying eyes and the toxic fumes that Kohaku told you.
Science was great. It helped you made shampoo and conditioner even when you were in the stone world.
You returned a few moments later to where Senkuâs âkingdomâ is, he was dissecting a rat. Of course he wa
âIm guessing you found that theres a red inflammation on its lungs right?â You muttered behind him, making him flinch slightly. Your hair was still wet and if it wasnât for the dead stinky rat, you wouldâve let your flustered self be seen just from his intense gaze.
âHow did you know thatâ
âA semi conducted experiment when i first came hereâ
âThen its probable that its either Tubercle Bascillus or strep-â
But before Senku could add more, Suika burst through the lab. Her gaze filled with tears as she yelled for help.
âC-come quick! Its Ruri-sama!â Before she could finish, you scooped her up in your arms, bolting out of the lab from worry.
The others trailed behind you as you could feel the tears coming out of the watermelon head. Your urgency was evident, carved into your face as your eyebrows furrowed. You could see Kokuyo worry over his daughter, telling her to move less.
âRuri, stay on your side. It will be a bit relievingâ
His eyes lighten a bit in relief as he saw you but the worry never settled down âY/n! Ruriâs condition is becoming worse!â He said, he was scared that he would soon lose his daughter âits that quack medicineâ he exclaimed as you went to her side. His gaze darkened as it landed in to the scientist that followed you here.
ïżŒ
You sat down near Ruri whos eyes were wide open from the painful coughs. Her body was making a mass production of mucus to which you could only rub her back to comfort her âspit that mucus outâ you muttered to her as she could only shakily nod.
âYou-! You bastard!â Kokuyo couldnât help it but grab the male scientist neck, a gasp escaped your lips as your hand twitch to reach out to him in worry. Even when hes just here for a few weeks, hes already making trouble for you.
âYou made her condition worse because of that drug!â
âThe bacteria is making allies with the harmless bacteria inside the body but its certain that the sulfa drug is made to destroy the bacteria called pneumococcusâ
There was that tone that made you ogle back then. The voice of certain victory.
âThat means its pneumoniaâ to some, it may be a foreign word but to someone like you whos from the modern world, you exactly know what that means. âIn the 1930s where millions of humans died because of it, the cultivation of the drug became a revolutionary treatment for the diseaseâ
âThanks to Kohakuâs hot spring water, it protected Ruriâs body unexpectedly but what truly suppressed it to worsen badly was the medicine Y/n madeâ he said âbut the thing is that it only preventive measures for the disease, it isnât enough. We just need to give her more sulfa-â
âEnough of this!â His fist was ready to connect to the scientist face and you stumbled a bit to be by his side. Grabbing him down to the ground as you grab the collar of his shirt to dodge the punch though it was proven to be unnecessary as Kohaku catched her fatherâs fist with her bare hands.
For the first time she opened up her feelings to her father, there were no tears that welled up on her eyes, done with this, she was âfather this is nothing like the fraudulent sorcery we know, this is science. A culmination of human knowledge from over the years and i believe in Senkuâ
âSo do iâ Chrome said as other people from the kingdom of science nodded. Kokuyo looked at you, waiting for you to disagree but you were silent as you study the scientistâs face and neck to check if he was fine, it became a habit of yours since coming to the village. But to your relief, there was none.
You sighed a bit in relief, the sulfa drug was doing well on its own. âThe sulfa drug is doing well, the bacteria inside the body is supposed to multiply more rapidly after consuming the para-aminobenzoic acid in the body thinking that its frolic acid. Not only that, the sulfa drug takes time, its not a remedy taken to immediately cleanse it outâ you said, you could see it in the fatherâs eyes, he was confused âdont worry Kokuyo, this⊠your daughter is on good hands but it will take timeâ
It didnât even occur to anyone even you or the scientists on how your hand was resting on his neck, rubbing it on patterned circles as you subconsciously tried to comfort him.
Or how you kept on finding his glances more and moreâŠunfamiliar as the night passed by assisting the sick priestess. You find that the caterpillars that turned into chrysalis in your stomach began to once again become active.
ââââ
It took months before Ruri was here standing, finally able to see the outside world after being locked up inside her hut for so long. Her body was no longer pushing her down to be bedridden.
It was emotional to say the least, âthank you Senkuâ You said beside him. For the first time in months, your eyes never left his and he could see the vulnerability in your eyes. And even now, he could only say that it was still like before the petrification, the same one you used to gave him so carelessly. Back when the world was still simple to understand.
âIts for the benefit of the kingdomâ he said, even though his voice was flat, you could see that he does care, maybe even more than he should have.
âYou never changedâ you muttered, amused at his words while he could only grin at yours âand you didâ
ââââââ
It was Christmas.
Alot happened, from the first ambush orchestrated in the night where Senku was established as the chief of the village to the second ambush where there were casualties, it was thanks to the forces of nature.
Basically to say, there was an all out war while the day that was basically long awaited in the modern world was happening in the village.
And here you were, standing on the makeshift ladder that was too tall for your own heart. âDont be such a scaredy cat Y/n! Hang it already, its beginning to be darkâ Chromes voice echoed through from beneath the tree. A vein popped up from your forehead, ready to burst âas if you werent the one screaming your brains out earlierâ you muttered.
But before you could yell back, it was already snowing.
It was a good thing you were finished hanging the lights on the branches as you quickly go down, not wanting to be flash banged. âAre you sure todays a good day to do this?â Chrome worried. âWhat do you mean? Today is the best day for thisâ Y/n said, her eyes locked in on the tuffles of leaves
âShes rightâ
âTurn it on, everyones here alreadyâ you mumbled, you walked to Ruriâs side. Almost too close as she gave you a knowing smile like she always does. âDid you bring itâ you whispered in her ear as she nodded.
She gave you a box that was made from wood, there contained a small gift that probably isnât to his liking based on practicality but hey, its literally christmas.
You stood in dazed as the lights on the tree opened. It had been far too long since you saw the light at night other than the stars and moon. It was too long but it was vivid when you remembered the days where you would walk at night all alone in a well lit street back in the day.
It was far too long since it all went downhill.
But you knew that familiarity will be reached, even if it takes another 40 years to reach it but you knew its possible, especially because he was here.
And there, no matter how much you tried you knew your heart was beating for him. It pumped adrenaline in your blood for him.
The night went all celebratory, music and alcohol was everywhere but soon died out, you stayed even when the snow has began to drop heavily to the ground. It slowly painted the world white.
âY/nâ a voice called out to you, it was his, you didnât need another to reconfirm it, he was too ingrained in your being for that. You let out a hum as you stared at the tree. âCome inside, snow is beginning to fall heavilyâ he said, his hand grabbing into your arm.
But you were still. Unmoving.
âDont be stubbo-â
âIf i confess now, would you finally give me a chance?â You asked him, it wasnât a million dollar question like anyone would have imagined but it weighed like a neutron star would.
He never gave you a direct answer, it was expected, you knew that.
But instead of letting your arm go, he didnt. But instead pulled you to the comforts near the fire. He wanted to walk away but that same gaze held him in place.
âI dont need to hear your answer, hereâ you said, it was obvious but it was in a lower pitch, you felt embarrassed as the blood in your cheeks rushed. Maybe itâs from the cold or the fact that here you were, basically admitting that you never moved on.
You tried to let him take the opportunity to let go of the arm that would caress his face but no, he didnât even let you move. Was this the same man you knew that wouldâve looked you in mild disgust everytime you confess or the one who couldnât even lift a liter of water?
âI canât promise you this but im trying my hardest to answer youâ he said, losing that usual smugness that he laced on his tongue with every word dropping. For the first time he looked vulnerable to youâ for you
âI dont need to know, i already have the answerâ your lips etched into that sad smile that had been in the making for the past months you were afar, observing his vibrancy at the distance.
Your fingers from your other hand unlaced his that grab your arm with that gentleness it always carries when it comes to the people you love, it was soft to the touch that it was unbelievable that you were getting rejected for the hundredth time.
In contrast to his roughened up hands, yours were like the gentle feather that could make the snow that fell to the ground silently be in shame.
You wanted to revel in how your fingers graced st each other but your eyes were beginning to stung at the weight of his and your words.
You want to keep on holding him even if its just the tip of your pinkies that laced together. That would be enough.
âYou donât in fact know my answerâ he whispered, breaking the unknowingly tensed atmosphere that formed. Your glassy eyes flickered to his face, there was that look again.
The ones he gave you during the entire process of taking care of Ruri.
And there was it again, those chrysalis finally took form into butterflies that wants to suck you dry and were fluttering around your stomach as a renewed desire for the scientist light anew.
âPray to tell, do you have evidences that you fully know what I feel?â His voice dropped into an octave as if he was carrying something that burdened him a while, his shoulder was slumped but still, he met your eyes with that ruby red eyes.
âYou donât need to write the intel down, Senku. The multiple times i was rejected by you was further evidence that I do know what you think of meâof my feelingsâ
âThats a hypothesisâ
Your knees feel weak, how could he say that. And just like that the whole world broke for you. Shaken and broken as pieces of you cracked open that ends up falling to the ground, you donât want to even fix it with your blood as glue anymore. You want him to see the irreversible effects he had on you.
âDo you know how I feel? I feel like maggots eat their way into the flesh of my mouth everytime i bite my tongue, dig my nails and fight my longing for you. And i tried Senku. I really did, i tried pushing these useless hormones away because i dont want to be useless, i dont want to be controlled by how much i want youâ
You feel your hands shaking, eyes flickering to how his hand was subtly interlaced with yours. The air felt lighter and chillier as the snow that fell into the ground no longer melted but instead began to layers. You were beginning to feel constriction in your throat.
âBut i cantâbecause even when i first woke up, i tried to find you and my eyes were still at your direction even petrified. Even throughout the first of my months spending on this new world, I tried to keep myself sane by talking to a stoneâa statue of youâ
You feel it. The weakening of your legs and your breathing becoming heavier from the intensity of his stare, his flesh-cutting silence and his hand that was now grasping yours as if you were going to fall to the ground at any given moment.
And maybe you were.
âI couldnât even leave you even if my brain wanted to because thats how much I love youâ you weakly said before collapsing in his arms as you wanted to let out the sobs you had always held back even back in the modern world, alone and dejected at the rejection you always faced.
But you couldnât, instead the tears fell silently as your eyes began to close.
âââââââââââ
You woke up.
You thought it would be bright but no. You were instead laid in the makeshift mattress of the laboratory. Your gaze fixated on the ceiling as you undeniably feel guilty about your action.
You glanced to your side, searching for him. Immediately it led to him , sleeping uncomfortably on the table with his arms as his pillow. You stood up with a pillow in your hand.
Your hands tremble slightly as you went closer to him. This was the first time you truly seen him vulnerable like this. To the way he breathed calmly and shallowly, to the soft cheeks that he had and to how everything looked like it was tailored for him to be beautiful like this. It almost makes you jealous
Your hands gently lift his head up, you palm caressing his cheek as your other hand laced into his arms to push it aside and replace it with a pillow.
âI donât think ill ever want to stop loving youâ you whispered, not wanting him to be disturbed by his peaceful sleep. Your eyes locked into his forehead and hesitated for a momentâ âshould i?â
You let your feelings decide as you lean down to his forehead and peck it. You enjoyed it. But the moment you felt it come in contact with your lips, it felt wrong to do it without him knowing.
So you pulled away. Your eyes however trailed down to his open eyes that didnât show the disgust, disturbed or even angry expression that you thought he would.
âHuh-!?â You gasped in surprise as his eyes were locked into yours with such intensity you wanted to crawl up in a hole and bury yourself alive.
Your eyes were wide open from the sudden eye contact you two were having. âI-im sorryâ but your eyes werenât as it dared trail to his slightly chapped but still rosy lips.
âFor what?â
âForâŠeverythingâ
You wanted to cry but the tearsâ they never came but instead you could only try to avoid looking at his eyes directly, you were too ashamed.
âWhen i said you didnât know how I feel, i truly mean itâ he began, his voice rasp but flat with his hand almost beside yours âI thought about you too many times than I should have during the 3,700 years weâve been petrifiedâ
Was this true? Really true?
âAnd when I didnât found your petrified being, I didnât know how to find myself envisioning a world where your constant presence didnât existâ
âTell me, are you really Senku? If you are, donât play with me like thisâ you muttered, full of disbelief as his hand rested on your cheek. You knew he didnât like it when it comes to physical contact so why?
Why was he acting like this right now?
He was silent but it was enough as his thumbs rub circles on your cheek with hesitation as if he never had done this before. And maybe he never did, he didnât expect it to happen.
You were truly a variable he never knew just how much he needed.
âIs it too early to say that I love you?â You asked quietly, your hands fidgeting as they awkwardly stood by. You were beginning to be hyperaware of your surroundings, too aware of how close he was as your nose were practically rubbing into each other.
âWe have been alive for thousands of yearsââ you didnât want him to continue as you pressed your lips to his, effectively shutting him up. You thought he wouldnât respond as it took a second but when he did, he pressed himself a bit closer to you.
They were perfect- not in the way where the storybooks say that it was soft, moist and it was unlike any movie youâve ever seen where it was dramatic with the rain pouring on their heads but instead yours were fleeting, hands everywhere but each other.
And it felt right.
Even though your arms never laced at the back of his neck
Even when the fact you were slightly bending in an off position
And even if the aftermath feels awkward.
It felt like the perfect first kiss that would make any other romance novel be in shame.
Because even though you pulled away, you still feel the electric shock that you did kiss him. You stood there in daze, eyes hazy as you staggered a bit away.
Were you going to faint or were you the next Josephine?
Maybe a bit of both.
âAm i dreaming? If so, i dont wanna wake upâ you mumbled, fingers grazing at your lips as your blood rushed up to your face, nape and ears. You were like a tomato that is considered the perfect harvest. âThat was just three seconds but that felt like foreverâwhats the date today? I have to list this down somewhereâ
He wasnât exactly in the best shape either. Equally as flustered as you were as he finally sat straightly. âGeez, youâre ramblingâ he said, attempting to shrug off his flushing face but how could he? The words in your mouth were only making it worse.
âCan i kiss you again?â
He didnât even think it through and just nodded. Why was he enjoying it? It was just a stimulant for the release of brain chemicalsâjust an evolutionary mechanism to decide if their partner is biologically compatible with the opposite sex.
But here he was, kissing you as if tomorrow wouldnât exist.
Oath broken of never falling in love as he let you circle your arms around his neck and his arms on your waist. Forgetting the world around you two.
And maybe for now, you both were better off with forgetting about it.
A little break from this stone world is not going to hurt anyone.
Rant but personally i think Senku is a fan of kissing. And i mean it- not just makeouts, nonono, hes definitely an enjoyer of pecking too and because of that, whenever you see him upset a kiss would definitely make it better.
Scenario:
Senku hit a roadblockâ how was he supposed to find such precious item when he couldnât even finish the blueprint of this god forsaken engine.
He slammed his head lightly on the table, as if that would help to rack something up on his brain but it didnât, he frustratedly sigh and ran his fingers through his hands. He didnât even notice you were beside him, looking over at his shoulder as you look through the equation.
âSen, these parts are too narrow. It would make it hard for air to pass through and balance the high pressure intakeâ
His eyes widened. It was?
You could only grin before kissing him in the cheek, nose and lips and say âLove youâ before walking away, knowing full well that a lightbulb lit up.
And that made his whole day a lot better than it shouldâve been
