Hey guys you know how the battlefield where the gems fought 5000 years ago had like, thousands of giant strawberries? Strawberries need semi-sandy nutrient-rich and slightly acidic soil to grow in. That means a LOT of minerals. THE STRAWBERRIES ARE HUGE BECAUSE THE SOIL IS FULL OF CRUSHED MAGIC GEMS. ITS SO CUTE AND PRETTY AND CARTOONY BUT ALSO TERRIFYING AND HARDCORE???

Strawberries are also part of the same family as roses!

So the battle field simultaneously represents the death and destruction of thousands of gems as well as the victory of Rose Quartz. Which kind of relates to the whole conversation between Greg and Steven about how you can’t win a war without there being death and destruction present- no such thing as a good war. I love this show

Honestly seeing old photos in color makes the past so much more tangible.

So today this family came into the restaurant and I while I was serving them, their son saw my Iron Man and Captain America charms and said ‘Avengers! I love the Avengers!’ I smiled and asked who his favorite was, and he said “Iron Man!’ with such a conviction that I wanted to melt. And then I noticed his hearing aids, and got excited. “Hey, you know Hawkeye’s just like you, right? He has the same hearing aids!” And I swear to god the whole family just stopped. As I explained that in the comics, there’s a Hawkeye that’s Deaf, you could see the little boy’s eyes just grow. His dad was so excited, he said he was go find all the issues for the kids. And as I served them, I overheard their mom explaining that when one sense goes, the others get stronger, and that maybe their brother would be a super hero one day. If there was ever a reason to include diversity, it is for the look on a child’s face knowing they’re not alone.

My ball python got himself stuck in a paper towel roll earlier. I think he needs a parent.

House martins are the cutest because they have fuzzy lion paws that make them look like fierce little griffins.
