yeaaaauhhhh U can dm me if u wannaa!!!! also sorry if any of my previous posts just straight up did not make sense lolll i literally woke up, checked tumblr, answered a couple asks, and then fell back asleep LMFAOOOO i reread it and i was like “Oh man that did. not make as much sense as it did when i couldn’t even see my screen in front of my face……”

plus i haven’t actually sat down and actually watched the show in a liiittle while so my memory of it is kind of foggy because i’ve been so invested in star trek lately💔 HOWEVER yes i am willing to talk about hughie i always love a good hughie discussion 🫡

What character arc did you enjoy but had some glaring flaws? (I'm guessing the arc with hughie in s3 had too many flaws for you to like, no? correct me if wrong lol) how would you have liked it to go?

i must say that off the top of my head i can’t really think of any outstanding character arcs tbhhhh like idk i really like frenchie & kimiko’s development but it happened kind of quickly iirc so 🤷‍♂️ plus i think they’re cute but i kind of wish they had more of a platonic bond or at least gave kimiko a closer platonic/familial bond with any of the cast PLEASEEE

i think that’s a problem that happens a lot in this show. they move things waaaay too fast and maybe it’s because of the limit of 8 episodes per season but having arcs that span multiple seasons isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

right now i feel like the boys is in a very tricky spot where it’s either going to go incredibly uphill and be restored or be completely fucked over by season 4. i’m not a huge fan of season 3’s writing, i feel like the direction it went with certain character arcs (coughcoughHughiecough) was kind of strange and could’ve been done WAAAAY better

my personal favorite will always be season 1 i think. peak hughie and i really enjoy how the story is built up (although my biggest issue 100% is how they handled hughie’s grief over robin. definitely not the best depiction of grief i’ve seen in a show)
