Star Trek used to be daring and say what others wouldn’t. TOS had episodes about racism during segregation and birth control/abortion before either was legal in the US. TNG had episodes about disability and the harms of conversion therapy. DS9 examines the nature of morality in war in every fucking episode
Has new Trek said a SINGLE thing of value yet? Pushed any boundaries? And be realistic, even copaganda has gay people these days

The fact that there's legitimate sexual tension between Ransom and his alternative universe self is just the best thing ever.
I can only imagine the version of this show where Shaxs stayed dead and we missed out on 4 seasons of arguably the best member of the bridge crew. Just think about the classic moments we wouldn't have gotten with him.
