What is Barricades? An all-online convention for Les Miserables and Les Miserables fandom!

When exactly does it happen?

It's happening July 24-26, 2026!

Where does it happen? Social hangouts, panel discussion, and miscellaneous fun things happen on Discord! The panels are hosted on Zoom.

Is this about just the book? Just the musical?

Barricades has panels and social activities focusing on the book, the musical , other adaptations, and the fandom itself!

What if I can't make it to all the panels I want to see? Most panels will be posted for viewing by attendees for two weeks following the convention, so you'll have a chance to catch anything you missed!

How do I register? Just hop over to the Barricades website to register!

How much is registration?

It's £12 currently, but there are scholarships available to cover ticket costs! If you want to claim a scholarship, just let us know when you register. No explanations or applications needed!

Will there be a ballpit?

If we can find a way to have a ballpit on Discord, we'll let everyone know.

Barricades: A Les Mis Convention is entirely volunteer run, from our ConCom to our social media coordinators to our submission readers. We can’t do what we do without the help of dedicated fans - that means you! We are currently seeking volunteer moderators and subtitlers. 

 Moderators (Con weekend) - Live moderation on Discord and Zoom for panels during the Con. 

Subtitlers (a few weeks before con, through when recordings are posted) - captioning pre-recorded and videos of live panels.
