I hope that, at some point in the future, these will be more widely used to represent the queer, trans and intersex communities that I love so much to unify us and liberate us against the constructs of cisheteronormativity and to honor the queer, trans and intersex people of color who have been so instrumental to improving queer, trans and intersex visibility.

In memory of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, I’m re-releasing this set of Pride flags to honor the Black and Brown trans and queer femme people who spearheaded the fight for queer and trans rights so that the rest of our community can have the rights that we now have.

These are redesigns for the Pride flag for the sake of inclusion.
The background contains the common colors of various Pride flags of the trans community since they form the backbone of our community. The striped colors in front are the conglomeration of the rainbow and bi pride flags, which contain the common colors of Pride flags in the queer/LGB+ spectrum. In front is the violet intersex symbol, which holds various icons that contain Black and Brown stripes to represent the Black and Brown people who are often at the forefront of the actions pivotal to liberation for the entire community.
This is representation and recognition without strict coercion, where Black and Brown people are recognized for what we’ve done for the community and what our forebears did to liberate us all.
The main flags are the heartbeat (for obvious reasons), the fist, and the upside-down triangle designs. I also included icons for various subsets of the queer/trans/intersex/LGBTQ+ community, such as neurodiverse, Jewish, and Muslim QTI/LGBTQ+ folks.

okay let’s get something straight:
pride is not for everyone. pride is for LGBTQ people, and LGBTQ people only. pride is open to everyone, yes. allies and non LGBTQ people who want to support the community are absolutely welcomed and encouraged to participate, yes. but it is not for you.
it is still only for the LGBTQ community. and this is something that some cishet people need to learn.

Definitely agreed, although white QTI people tend to exclude QTI POC from full acceptance to pride, or other LGBTQ+ events. This same shit happens with disabled QTI people as well.
Like, bro, European QTI folks just found out that accepting their identities as non cishet folks still mean they deserve equal rights while QTI POC were either persecuted or subject in white supremacist tactics to suppress queer, trans and intersex subcultures within communities of color to where we don’t have the same privilege of acceptance anymore.

How about… and hear me out… this may sound crazy…. but you… continue to call us bisexual… because (and I realize this gets confusing for you people so read this next part slowly) it turns out we continue to be bisexual regardless of who we’re dating.
Okay, this shit gets me all heated up. I’m just a cisgay dude up in here, but I have Some Opinions about this nonsense.
Bisexual people in relationships with folks of the other gender are not only themselves still bisexual (I’m really ashamed of a bunch of all that this shit even needs to be said, like c’mon), but their relationships are queer.
Yes, I just said that straight people can be involved in queer relationships without they themselves being queer.
The reason for this is simple: folks who are in relationships with queer people will always have to deal with their partner’s marginalization impacting their relationship. Always. Even if their bisexual partner chooses to be entirely stealth about their queerness (and that’s their right, by gods, fight me about it), their relationship is still impacted by that very choice existing. It’s a facet heterosexual relationships never have to negotiate.
Frankly, bisexual folks have to deal with active marginalization from multiple angles: heterocentrist and homocentrist. And in case I actually have to say this aloud? We should not be fucking marginalizing our own, y’all. That makes you a bad person, and you should feel bad.
To sum up: Bisexual folks are queer as hell. Straight folks can be in queer relationships without themselves ever being queer. And FFS please stop harassing bi- and pan-folks already, man. It’s 2018. Find hobbies that are not shitty.
