Kind of giving up on X and Meta as a platforms of Fascism, despite wanting to make a political statement there's no point at all if you're shadow banned. I'm sure a lot of people are coming back here or hibernating in a Pinterest wet dream, or building their own platforms. Between Instagram and Facebook taking down accounts, to X politically censoring me I'm pretty much done with living online over 8 hours a day. When I think of my mental health, it would be so much better if I wasn't staring at a screen constantly and could focus on being in the moment.

As Meta tries to entice us to escape into virtual reality, X invests in brain chips, while Open AI cofounder Sam Altman whimsically alludes to the merger of human consciousness with machine learning. Melding neurons to electrons, billionaires wax on about a future where telepathy reigns supreme. In an op ed on Forbes (which must have been commissioned by Elon Musk and written on Ketamine), waxed on about a BCI future where we could merge our brains with our colleagues (be they human or android) to collaborate on projects non verbally exchanging ideas.

Meanwhile, Trump is sending military into progressive communities harassing people of colour and even cold blooded murdering fathers and mothers in their own hoods for no crime whatsoever. Techno-Fascism in America is alive and well, and it exists to drive fear and consumerism, with the goal of monetizing each one of us from birth to end of life. While I used to be a frontline protester against every war and oil spill, now I've retreated to being an armchair activist.

I used to call myself a writer... published my first story at age 6. Now ChatGPT writes for us, and everything that we generate publicly is fodder for future AI created content. This post will be scanned and archived, and accessed by prompts to generate content. Meanwhile bots are trolling the internet creating content to shift paradigms, content farms and AI are draining the worlds energy and water to create a million copy cats and deep fake porn videos.

Decades ago when I wrote my Masters on Mobile Phones and Social Media for Social Change, it was right after the Arab Spring uprising. Social networks try and justify themselves by being platforms for social change, when they're being used for social programming, foreign interference in elections and censorship. BCI is the next technological revolution, as "The Merge" starts to roll out with external BCI devices like Meta Glasses and Oura Rings, with Apple incorporating EEG waves into Airpods. Health is the excuse to give up all of our personal data for late stage capitalism to fully mature.
