Madre’s Charcoal-Infused Smokey Margarita !

Ingredients:

• 2 oz of Charcoal Infused Mezcal (44%abv preferred)

• .5 oz Agave (Organic Agave Preferred)

• .5 oz Chile Liquor (Madre uses Ancho Reyes)

• ¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice

• Sal de Gusano

• Garnish: Lime Wheel and Salt de Gusano

Method:

To make the charcoal-infused mescal, add 1.5 bar spoons of charcoal powder to one liter of bottle of mezcal. Shake for 5 seconds and let it sit for 10 min.

For the margarita, rub the rim of the glass with the lime slice to make the salt stick to it.

Shake the mezcal, agave, chile liquor and lime juice, then strain it and carefully pour into the glass (taking care not to dislodge any salt).

Garnish with a fresh lime wheel and serve over ice.
