BTS Vocabulary Save Me (Jiminās Part)
note: this may seem a little advanced if you donāt know hangul and some of the grammar points i still suck a bit at grammar so iāll do my best since iām not just going to write the korean word but also explain the grammar behind it.
2nd note: i will never post in romanization, i havenāt read romanization since i started learning the alphabet and romanization only hinders you plus itās ugly to look at lol iām weird
ė: I Ā
Comes from the informal word for āIā in Korean combined with the subject/topic particle. So ė + ė = ė
ģØģ¬ź³ ģ¶ģ“: I want to breathe
Is derived from the verb ģØģ¬ė¤ which is āto breathe.ā The stem of the verb is ģØģ¬ and adding ź³ ģ¶ģ“ to the end of the stem of a verb turns it into wanting something, so ģØģ¬ź³ ģ¶ģ“ turns into I want to breathe.
ģ“: This
Pretty self-explanatory, no grammar explanation needed.
ė°¤ģ“: Night
ė°¤ means ānightā and the ģ“ here is the subject particle
ģ«ģ“: to not like
The informal conjugation of ģ«ė¤
ė ģØģ¬ź³ ģ“ ė°¤ģ“ ģ«ģ“: I want to breathe, I donāt like this night
ģ“ģ : now
ź¹Øź³ ģ¶ģ“ : I want to wake up
Is derived from the verb ź¹Øė¤ which is āto wake up.ā Adding ź³ ģ¶ģ“ turns the phrase into I want to wake up
źæģģ“ : being in my dreams
źæ means dream, and ģ is being in something but not physically, this is different from the Korean word ģ which also means āin" where you can use it in the same way as ģ but also it can be used if you were actually in a place like say a house, school, etc. ģ is used for saying something like in oneās heart, or mind, etc, a place where you canāt physically as a person be.
ģ«ģ“: to not like
ģ“ģ ź¹Øź³ ģ¶ģ“ źæģģ“ ģ«ģ“: I want to wake up now, I donāt like being in my dreams
ė“: my
ģģ: in
See notes from źæģģ“, ģ is a location particle
ź°ķģ: trapped
Not going to lie, a little lost on this one so donāt really know how to explain the grammar points to this, although I believe ģ is the conjunction particle for ābecause, so.ā
ė: I
죽ģ“ģģ“: dead
Derives from the verb ģ£½ė¤ which means āto dieā
ė“ ģģ ź°ķģ ė 죽ģ“ģģ“: Iām trapped inside of myself and Iām dead
3rd & final note: all of these lyrics are informal.
Snow Milk Cat post!
Iām playing Twilight Princess today and Smaug decided the world needs hisĀ version of Eponaās song.

Spanish Illuminati Secrets: Native speakers sometimes just decide not to conjugate verbs??? Sometimes itās just the infinitive. Conjugation rules donāt exist when youāre casual and donāt care. Everythingās an illusion.
Spanish Illuminati Secrets: No one uses no hay de qué I donāt even know why itās in a textbook, the last time I said that to someone they looked at me like I just invented a language. When did it stop being used? Did my textbook teach me abuela Spanish?Ā
These are the questions youāre forced to ask when you say no hay de qué to a native speaker. Just say de nada.
QuĆ© raro, en MĆ©xico sĆ usamosĀ āno hay de quĆ©ā :)

When people ask me why I care about cultural appropriation:
Because Kardashians will take cornrowsĀ
And turn it into this.
Or take what is a racist caricature of a Black Bodies,
And turn it into this while be praised for it.
Or when Black women get mocked for their lips and Skin:
But Kylie Jenner can be praised for doing this:
Or when White people and celebrities can do this:
But women like this are seen as ugly (even in their own communities) or a called terrorists by others:
Things like that causes things like this:
Ok tell me how it doesnāt matter again?
ā¦I didnāt even know about that caricature
neither did I ^
