i cant update the main page because theres javascript on it and that requires staff approval...... i just want to put a PSA on it about maybe switching to login-only for a while to get the spammers off it. or should i just switch it to login-only first and hope everyone can figure out how to log in (jk i wont do that) (lets hope staff approves it quickly)
edit: just remembered how i had to troubleshoot SO much just to log in MYSELF so maybe thats not a good idea at all

hi! good questions! and i’m so glad you like the new username <3 (i might still change it again!)
i’m figuring things out as i go, but i do plan to continue sharing my confessions from the quiet voices site or ones sent to me. maybe i will include some from other sources here and there, but i enjoy (and am attached to) this format and i plan to keep it.
the username change is in large part just because there were always issues with accidentally presenting myself as affiliated with flatsound or the site. i haven’t kept up with flatsound in a while, but i believe (?) that he is not involved in the project anymore and it felt outdated to have him in the name. i also want to be able to post a bit more as my own voice on here, which felt in conflict with the old format of this blog as an extension of the site on tumblr.
but, in terms of post content and format, not much will change!
i know this is a long fuzzy answer, but i hope it helps!
just to make this clear, we arent associated with flatsound/mitch at all. quiet voices was inspired by gentle.earth, but mitch/flatsound i believe still runs that site (seeing as how it still has his name attached and confessions are being posted as recent as 4 days ago)

apologies, i forgot to update it with my new twitter account! im not sure why you cant log in, you should be able to log in with your google account. if you have an issue you should ask htmlcommentbox, which is the site i use to run qvs.
for now i’m allowing anonymous comments again, which means you dont need to log in. however if harrassment becomes an issue again i will have to disable it. sorry for all the issues, i dont check qvs very often anymore ;;

no, i am not. however, i believe gentle.earth was popular among russians, particularly on their social media vk. since quiet voices was made in lieu of gentle.earth, i assume that’s why it’s also popular among russians. however if any russian users would like to elaborate i would love to hear :)

er, i understand this is an old ask, but if i’m not wrong, cyrillic is the alphabet used for russian text, right? it seems many russian users have no problem using cyrillic on qvs, so maybe it is not my site’s problem.
