I'll wait until I'm given the okay by certain folk to share spoilers and whatnot as I have a darlin' who follows me, but I wanted to say I loved chapter 5. No spoilers or nothin' from me, but it was very fun for me. I'll give more concentrated thoughts at another date in particular when my darlin' has consumed the Deltapoon.

The music from the game is quite the earworm. Too much of an earworm! Here I am sitting down in a call when suddenly I start mumble singing, "Your mother is doomed, your father is doomed...." And as I keep progressing the game there are many other songs which are much worse to randomly blurt out. Still, waiting for the song DLC and stage about Zodiac going up brokeback mountain with his totally straight cadre of cats. I suppose it''ll be up to me to write a tale worthy of that. Half a joke. Currently I'm editing a mina the hollower fic and I've got another gay story or two in the works. One being Cookie Run related and other being original. I've been thinking about releasing shorts of some sort because I've been getting very busy lately.

The flesh is weak. The art is good. The vibes divine. I am no more than a worm wriggling in the dirt existing entirely on instinct. Purity, is non-existent. Deviancy is all that remains.

It is always a pleasant surprise to see passion so strong in a fandom. Mewgenics is a silly game with a lot of heart, and a lot of raunchy humor. It has a soundtrack like the backdrop to a musical, and...The fandom is beautiful. Stumbling around and I see a cat wielding a gun drawn in the most pristine style with beautiful rendering and just that right chef's kiss of edge. And then I see art of the same cat swapping tongues with another fellah fulfilling the ultimate fujoshi stage play called, this chubby cat and this twink cat are dangerously close to clawing each other apart but are instead making out. Love to see it.

I'm currently in the middle of writing a Morne fic. Mina and Thorne. At the same time, I am always on the look out for what people are talking about and what people are thinking because sometimes interesting things come up. Someone put up that they were feelin' kinda sad that Mina didn't have a lot of yuri right now. Fair enough. They presented three options of characters, but they were missing one. There's a lady in Mina the Hollower that would be perfect for Mina in a casual sense or something deeper romantically. Muriel. The dual wielding rabbit. She even has a cute nickname for Mina. Meens! That's just adorable. Even if it were a casual thing, I could see a lot of potential between them. The other option is toxic Yuri rivalry with that Maxi gal, but Mina genuinely has no idea who the poor girl is. Then again, that too is an angle. Muriel works as a center of comfort. Someone that she can talk to and have a drink with on the level as they are peers. This can branch out in plenty of ways. Will I write it? Maybe! I gotta see where the cards land first after I finish this first Mina fic.

It is interesting to me that for me, Dess was something extra to pay attention to. Another note attached to Noelle that got a lot bigger as time went on. I only started to think and care about Dess in conversations with others and seeing fan reaction online. The Knight is Dess, the Knight is this, or that. For me, I was mostly trying to think about where the story was going among other things. Dess has become such a central thing in a lot of discussions I see. Meanwhile, for me, whenever I see the knight I can't help but think about the markings on the hands. What might is seen as a bat or sword, I saw as a nail being made into a sword. I thought of the placement of the holes on the hand and I thought of a stigmata. That is where my portion of interest was. Still, it brings an interesting flavor for the world seeing so many different takes, and also seeing where popular perception and interest goes. At the same time, I can't help but wonder. What if I never really saw people's reactions to Dess? What if I just continued on thinking of Dess as a footnote that may or may not be resolved? Perhaps Dess is the knight. And if she is then I would have been beyond flappy handed at seeing Noelle's missing sister suddenly revealed in such a manner. It would be funny, though, if Dess and Carol just had a pretty rough falling out or something completely out of the fandom zeitgeist's speculation.

I feel like I don't make things tragic enough. I struggle with making the Cup of Grace (as the French might say.) Jokes aside, I think that I struggle with making truly tragic things in a dramatic fashion. I can make sad endings, and bittersweet endings, but anguish is a lot harder. I want someone to scream, "NO!" at the end of one of my fics. For that matter, I think that a lot of the character studies I'm going to do are going to be either bittersweet or painful. Mmm, at the same time. I have to acknowledge that my tolerance is different. Sometimes I see things that make people cry and it will not register to me as a great thing of loss or sorrow. Sometimes I really need a figurative knife in my heart to really get that feeling out there, so my feels is that I need to drive that knife in as well or else it isn't as tragic as it could be. So perhaps I have made things that cause anguish, and yet to me, it is not enough.

Right now I'm doing character study exercises where I try to figure out a good idea off a cursory bit of research and I didn't think I'd be picking such a doozy to start with. Well, I spun a wheel but whatever. Lanonlin the sheep. Leader of the Diamond Cutters and a member of a restoration effort if I am understanding things correctly. Plagued with self-doubt and constantly making mistakes. Disliked by fans of the comic at times as well it seems! And yet, I like what I saw. Not because I think she's a paragon of good decisions, but because golly she's abrasive and has some things to learn. A gal pushed up to leadership, who tries her best to live up to that responsibility and seemingly cannot. I love those flaws and I love the nature of characters who have these sorts of rough patches. Maybe the stories told don't deliver fully on the turn around of these sorts of characters, their perspective and whatnot; but I figure that at least I can do a lot of that on my own and the base of what the character is interests me. I was thinking a very small snippet involving her having a tough conversation with Silver. Maybe a bit of angst for the fun of it. Angry kissing? I dunno! I'm not done with my research yet. Will this inspire me to finally get into the comics once more after having not touched them since gosh knows how long? Only time will tell. I guess this is also going to need me doing a bit of research on Silver as well considering the last time I saw that boy he was saying, "Its no use, take this." And not an entity within comics at all.

"Man....I've only got five chapters of Lacenet...WAIT I CAN RELEASE THESE AS CHAPTERS INSTEAD OF WAITING UNTIL I FINISH." So yeah, I've got five chapters so far of toxic lacenet with a bit of sauce being written. Might release sometime after Ao3 finishes their maint. It is a tale of an escape made together from circumstances found thanks to their mutual aggression. Captured, and yet not so easily caged. For a moment, perhaps, they can find common ground, but it is not so simple. Spurned despite an offer of companionship given. Treated as a momentary thing.

Imagine all that false pride and bravado melting away as someone actually acknowledges Lace and witnesses her. She's being looked at not as a creation of silk, not a monster or thing of wild beauty; but instead she's looked on as someone who deserves sympathy. Perhaps it comes off as an insulting level of pity. Lace would perhaps attempt humor, attempt to trade barbs instead of receiving kindness because it might be such a strange and foreign thing. To be pitied is to feel lesser in regards to those with pride whether that pride of false or true. It is with this idea that I've come to think that one of the greatest hurdles between Lace and Hornet would be Lace herself, and the facade she puts on shattering. How will she react when there is no humor to guard her, her barbs are treated as falsehoods? A kind and gentle touch to cringe away. Just some ambient thoughts while I tap away at other things.

Now that I've baited you in with doomed yuri conversations. Today I'm going to talk about a childhood icon. Mr Harriman from foster's home for imaginary friends could get it. In this video essay, I will-

I figure I should clarify a bit more. I do really like the sweet stuff, honestly! When it comes to ships that I find wouldn't work as sweet even, but I definitely have a draw toward the dramatic. Even when I was younger I would ship characters that had friction and slowly came in to love. There is something so good about a slow burn to lovers. Not just enemies to lovers, mind you, but indifference to love. Disdain and general mutual dislike to love. Unrequited love to recognition. Lacenet in particular has a lot of good potential for these things. For tragedy, for the dramatic, for trauma. The sweet stuff is very pretty but to me it comes as something off in the future or after a lot of struggle. The messed up mind of a being crafted for a role spurned by their parent who does not know how to give them proper attention and seeks the attentions of another. JUICY.

People make a lot of cute Hornet and Lace artwork, but like, where's the a n g s t? Where's the duels to the death that end in hateful kisses? I don't think I've seen much of that in terms of art. Well! I know that I'll be writing something in that sort of vein. Another duel leads the spider and spurned daughter into a trap. Even working together the most positive thing that comes out of it is pity and disdain, and even a hand offered in care is taken as something else. What sparks there are feel tainted, but perhaps some sort of passion can persevere. At the very least, a mutual respect.

Dang its been a hot minute. I haven't just become inactive here but I kinda sparsely post all throughout places.
