My biggest hope for Persona 4 revival is that they fix the massive plot hole I noticed when playing Golden for the first time that completely took me out of the experience of the story.

Teddie himself isn't necessary to leave the TV world, it's just that he created the TVs that let them go back to the real world. Those TVs stayed after initially being set up, so even without Teddie they could use them to go back to the real world.
