I proudly present: Feferi Peixes, Ninjagurl!
I don’t have much story, but this is what I thought would match:
The story takes place in an AU in which the Kekkei Genkais have been distributed thanks to a long war, caused by Orochimaru succeeding in reproducing Kekkei Genkais.
That war has ended a long time ago, and the villages have slowly recovered. Feferi is the daughter of the Mizukage now, with Mizu no Kuni (and Kirigakure) being very powerful. So much is expected from her, even more since a Jinchuuriki has been sealed inside her when she was very little. On top of all, it’s a Jinchuuriki that hadn’t been seen ever before, and some people claim that it came from the stars.
Feferi can communicate with it, she heard it whisper to her every since she can remember, and she needs to keep herself properly full at all times so she is not weakened for its influence. Strengthened by it, she’d be an exceptionally powerful Ninja - if she gave in to it more. But instead, she weakens the influence of the Jinchuuriki by keeping herself cheerful, playful and occupied with nice thoughts.
She basically keeps up a delicate balance with the monster within.
She also has great plans for when the Mizukage will finally leave her seat for Feferi.
